On the other hand, the fur brush 511, the conductive roller 521, and the PET scraper 523 abutted on the fur brush 511 and the conductive roller 521 shown in FIG. Instead, a conductive elastic roller (Rubicell) as a cleaning neutralizing member is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the transfer conveyance belt 454 and downstream of the transfer nip position and upstream of a position where the transfer material is separated from the transfer conveyance belt. 531 manufactured by Toyo Polymer Co., Ltd.).
The conductive elastic roller 531 is provided with a blade for removing foreign matter and the like. Then, a cleaning blade 455 was provided in contact with a downstream area of the transfer conveyance belt 454. And the following results were obtained. (1) In the case where the conductive elastic roller 531 was installed, the frequency of occurrence of transfer nuisance due to the adhesion of foreign matter on the inner side surface (inner peripheral surface) of the transfer / conveying belt was negligible during the actual shooting test at 50 kC.

As described above, the conductive elastic roller is brought into contact with the inner side surface (inner peripheral surface) of the transfer / conveyance belt 454 to eliminate the charge on the transfer / conveyance belt. When P is peeled off from the transfer conveyance belt and is conveyed to the fixing device, the phenomenon that repelling defects occur in the image due to separation discharge and damage to the material of the transfer conveyance belt are avoided, and the durability is greatly improved.
