Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air wiper eliminating the need for periodical exchange, which is needed for a rubber wiper, without damage to the surface of a window glass. SOLUTION: The air wiper 1 replaces the rubber wiper as an automatic window wiper attached to a front window glass of an automobile. The air wiper has nozzles, in a side-to-side sector narrow cylinder or thin plate form, with their ends directed from around the center at the lower side of the front window glass of the automobile to the upper side. The nozzle ends are in a radial form and the surface of the front glass of the automobile is curved from the lower side to the upper side, therefore permitting the installation of the nozzles in two or more lines. An air compressed by an air compressor utilizing the revolution of an engine of the automobile can be jetted from the nozzles.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an air wiper which can be used for automatically wiping the windshield of a front window of most automobiles. By spraying radially from below the surface of the front window glass of the vehicle through a thin plate-shaped nozzle, water, dust and the like adhering to the surface of the window glass can be removed.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a wiper for wiping the surface of a window glass, a rubber wiper to which a rubber component is attached has been used.

This has the following drawbacks. (A) When the motor for moving the wiper is operated, the rubber wiper causes fine sand dust to enter between the window glass and the rubber, causing a fan-shaped scratch on the surface of the window glass. (B) When the rubber wiper becomes old, the corner of the rubber that is in close contact with the surface of the window glass and the rubber of the wiper is worn, and the rubber wiper does not adhere due to rounds or scratches, and the surface of the window glass cannot be wiped off properly. (C) Old rubber wipers must be replaced with new rubber wipers, and must be replaced regularly. The present invention has been made to eliminate these disadvantages.

An automatic window wiping device attached to a front window glass of an automobile is called a wiper. Instead of a rubber wiper that uses rubber parts for the wiping part of this automatic window wiping device, the air compressed by an air compressor using the rotation of an automobile engine is passed through a thin cylindrical or thin plate nozzle. By spraying radially from below the surface of the front window glass of an automobile, water, dust and the like adhering to the surface of the window glass can be removed. The present invention is an air wiper configured as described above.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below. (A) From the vicinity of the lower center of the front window glass of the automobile to the upper side, as the distance from the center increases, the tips of the nozzles are directed in a fan shape in the right and left directions, and the nozzle tips of this nozzle row are made to be entirely radial. (B) Since the surface of the front window glass of the automobile is curved from the lower side to the upper side, two or more nozzle rows are installed. (C) An air compressor corresponding to the injection capability of these nozzles is mounted on a vehicle, and the air compressed by the air compressor using the engine rotation of the vehicle is connected so that the air can be injected from these nozzles. When the air wiper 1 is used as described above, the air wiper 1 can remove water, dust and the like by operating the air compressor by using the engine rotation of the automobile regardless of running.

This has the following effects. (A) The air wiper does not damage the surface of the window glass because the air compressed by the air compressor is jetted through the nozzle onto the surface of the front window glass of the automobile. (B) The air wiper can continuously remove water, dust and the like from the surface of the window glass in a certain state. (C) The air wiper does not have a consumable that periodically replaces a rubber part worn by a conventional rubber wiper. The present invention provides these effects.
