衝器の取付長さを調整し得るようにしたことにより、ア
ウタシェルと延長ブラケットの相対回転に関係なく常に
両者間のねじ結合部分における噛合有効長さを設計目標
値に保って当該ねじ結合部分の強度に低下をきたすこと
なく、かつ、アウタシェルからの延長ブラケットの抜け
出しをも阻止しつつ車両側の取付部の長さに合わせて油
圧緩衝器の取付長さを調整することが可能になるのであ
る。

てアウタシェルとの相対回転に伴いアウタシェル側のピ
ン嵌着孔と合致するピン貫通孔を設け、これら延長ブラ
ケットのピン貫通孔からアウタシェルのピン嵌着孔に頭
部を僅かに突出させて係止ピンを嵌め、当該係止ピンと
延長ブラケットの雌ねじの内方端部分との係合によって
アウタシェルの雄ねじと延長ブラケットの雌ねじとの噛
合有効長さが設計強度以下にならないように規制しつ
つ、油圧緩衝器の取付長さを調整し得るようにしたこと
を特徴とする油圧緩衝器の取付長さ制限装置。
