At the end of the rear holder 4 on the hinge 3 side, a locking projection 15 is formed so as to engage with the inner surfaces of the upper and lower walls 2C facing the upper opening 13 when the rear holder 4 is closed. The locking projection 15 is provided at a position corresponding to each terminal accommodating chamber 5, and is formed so as not to collide with a partition wall between adjacent terminal accommodating chambers from the time of rotation of the rear holder until the rear holder is closed. . Due to the formation of the locking projections 15, when the rear holder 4 is closed, the locking projections 4A and the locking grooves 2B located near the rear of the connector, and the locking projections 15 and the upper and lower walls 2C located near the front of the connector are closed. It is fixed by the heavy lock, and in particular, the formation of the locking projection 15 suppresses the bidding of the rear holder 4 from the upper and lower walls 2 </ b> C surfaces, and the closed state is firmly maintained.

After the connection of the electric wires 12 by the pressure welding jig is completed, the rear holder 4 is rotated about the hinge 3 as a support shaft, and the upper opening 13 is closed by the rear holder 4. In the present embodiment, the following will be described. Notable actions are performed. That is, when the rear holder 4 is completely opened as shown in FIG. 1, the sliding rod 4B is completely lifted from the guide space 7 as shown in FIGS. In this state, when the rear holder 4 is rotated in the direction indicated by the arrow A in FIG. 2 using the hinge 3 as a support shaft, the distal end 41 of the sliding rod 4B that originally floats up from the guide space 7 becomes
Will be hanging on. In this state, when further rotated in the direction of arrow A, as shown by the imaginary line in FIG. 2 and the solid line in FIG.
4, and slides on the locking surface 14 with the rotation of the rear holder 4.

The hinge 3 is formed in a belt shape and does not expand or contract but has flexibility. Therefore, as already mentioned,
During the rotation of the rear holder 4, the hinge 3 does not remain curved, but is partially curved or linearly deformed depending on the closing angle.
Alternatively, the rear holder 4 is easily bent and deformed also in the width direction. In addition, there are cases where both ends in the width direction have advancing or lagging, so that they may be closed in an inclined state. However, according to the present embodiment, the rear holder 4 is rotated by the sliding rods 4B formed at the left and right end portions being engaged with the guide space 7, so that the rear holder 4 can be rotated right and left even if it receives a lateral external force. The movement of the rear holder 4 in the width direction is restrained, and the entire rear holder 4 is prevented from moving in the width direction. In addition, the tip 41 of the sliding rod 4B
3 is tapered as shown in FIG. 3, so that the sliding rod 4B is guided into the guide space 7 without being caught by the edge of the guide space 7.

Further, even when the hinge 3 may be deformed, for example, in a straight line during the rotation of the rear holder 4, the tip 41 of the sliding rod 4B abuts on the locking surface 14 of the guide space 7. Since the rotation is performed, in other words, the rotation is performed by the interaction between the hinge 3 and the locking surface 14, the rear holder 4 is prevented from floating and sinking, and the upper opening 13 is prevented. To be closed without being shifted with respect to the housing body 2. When the rear holder 4 is closed in this manner, the locking projections 4A engage with the locking grooves 2B, and the locking projections 15 sunk into the inner surfaces of the upper and lower walls 2C facing the upper opening 13. The double lock is achieved in the front-rear direction of the connector. Therefore, even if, for example, an impact force greater than the rear end acts on the closed rear holder 4, the rear holder 4 does not compete with the upper and lower wall surfaces at the hinge 3 side end and is opened.

The rear holder 4 is connected to the housing body 2
When the upper opening 13 is closed, as shown in FIG.
The first projection 6A of the locking projection 6 presses down the electric wire 12, and the rear wall 6B abuts the rear end of the press contact terminal 11. Thus, the position of the press contact terminal 11 can be restricted, and at the same time, the wire 12 can be reliably prevented from coming off. In addition, the second protrusion 6C of the locking protrusion 6 presses the electric wire 12 pressed into the press contact portion 11A downward. As a result, the electric wire 12 is prevented from being lifted upward, and connection failure can be reliably prevented. Further, the pressing contact surface 6E, which is a surface close to the locking projection 6, comes into contact with the side wall forming the press contact portion 11A, and presses the press contact portion 11A downward. As a result, the press contact portion 11A is sandwiched between the bottom of the terminal accommodating chamber 5 and the press contact surface 6E, so that the press contact terminal 11 can be reliably prevented from rising.

As described above, the press-connecting connector 1 according to the present embodiment is configured such that the sliding rod 4B provided in the rear holder 4 and the guide space 7 provided in the housing body 2 interact with each other to close the rear holder 4 when the rear holder 4 is closed. The displacement can be prevented, and after closing, the retaining projection 6 provided on the rear holder 4 can reliably prevent the press contact terminal 11 and the electric wire 12 from coming off or floating.

As described above, in the press-connecting connector according to the present invention, the rear holder is rotated by engaging with the guide space of the housing main body. By restricting the position by the engagement between the sliding rod and the guide space, the rotation can be performed while suppressing the horizontal deflection. In other words, when the rear holder is rotated with the hinge as a pivot, the rear holder covers the upper opening of the housing body and is smoothly assembled at a predetermined position without displacement by the above-described position regulating action. Performance can be improved. Further, since the tip of the sliding rod is inclined in a chamfered shape, the lateral displacement of the rear holder can be absorbed and introduced into the guide space, so that the rear holder can be easily picked up by the housing body. Further, since the rear holder is supported by the interaction between the hinge and the sliding rod, the rear holder is rotated with a stable movement. Further, since the rear holder is double locked with the housing body in the closed state, the reliability as a connector is improved.
