Nozzles for metering very small liquid streams in hot environments
The present invention provides a nozzle tip including a spray member having at least one spray hole, and
An apparatus for spraying a medium having a cooling means.
Such devices (nozzles) are described, for example, in US Pat. No. 5,351,889 and
It is disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 5,253,810.
In addition, a nozzle tip with a spray member having at least one spray hole is a U.S. Pat.
No. 4,150,794. This specially designed for cutting work
At the nozzle tip, a seal is injected to prevent the medium from forming around the nozzle member.
It is provided after the fog member.
Nozzles with the features described at the beginning are used to pyrolyze acetic acid into ketene and water
It is also used for metering very small amounts of catalyst. Thermal decomposition of acetic acid using a catalyst
By evaporating the acetic acid and preheating to the production temperature, ketene, diketene,
And used to produce acetic anhydride industrially. Then a catalyst such as phosphoric acid
The triethyl is dispensed in liquid form to the acetic acid vapor by means of a cold nozzle. mixture
The mass is maintained at the reaction temperature in the tubular reactor. Cooling is performed after the reaction zone,
Unreacted acetic acid condenses. Further processing of the ketene depends on the desired product that follows.
Is decided.
The disadvantage of this process is that the dispensed catalyst is small even on large industrial production scales.
Because of the volume, plan using the known nozzle for the catalyst under the same metering conditions.
From the scale of the experiment to the scale of the experimental equipment (using 100 g to 5000 g of acetic acid per hour)
Reducing the scale can result in nozzle operability known from coking and / or clogging.
Can not be done without compromising.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to improve on known devices.
For this purpose, according to the invention, the diameter of the spray holes or each spray hole is equal to 50 μm
Or less, the cooling means has a space through which the coolant can flow,
This space is provided with a nozzle tip so that the temperature of the device can be adjusted to the outlet of the spray hole.
A seal is provided around the spray member to prevent medium from being generated around the spray member.
This is achieved by a device of the type described at the outset, which is arranged downstream in the direction of rotation.
Therefore, the present invention provides a nozzle chip having a spray member having at least one spray hole.
In a medium spray device having a tap and a cooling means, the diameter of the spray holes or each spray hole is 5
0 μm or less, the cooling means is capable of flowing coolant
This space has a nozzle so that the temperature of the device can be adjusted to the outlet of the spray hole.
Seals around the tip and prevents media from forming around the spraying member
Is located downstream of the spray member in the direction of flow.
In a particular embodiment, the diameter of the spray holes or each spray hole is equal to or less than 40 μm.
Or less, preferably equal to or less than 30 μm, and particularly preferably
Or less than or equal to 20 μm, more preferably about 10 μm.
is there. The seal used is advantageously a metal seal, preferably a silver seal
is there. The spray member is preferably made of an alloy containing platinum and / or iridium.
Manufactured.
The device may include at least one sheet that prevents the medium from being generated around the spray member.
The seal is located downstream of the spraying member based on the direction of flow of the medium.
Have been. This ensures that the spray holes are not blocked by the material generated by seal wear.
To be. In one particular embodiment, a filter inserted upstream of the spray member
The nozzle also ensures that the spray holes are not blocked.
The nozzle according to the invention can be used for gas vacancies up to 1000 ° C., preferably up to 1100 ° C.
20 ml / min or less, preferably 0.05 ml / min, continuously flowing in liquid form between
Small liquid streams up to 1 ml or up to 10 ml per minute can be dispensed. According to the invention
Catalysts that are frequently observed during the thermal decomposition of acetic acid, for example, if cooling is designed.
Blockage of the spray holes by coking no longer occurs. Touch inside the pilot device
Spraying the medium as a liquid jet has a good effect on large plants.
It has the advantage of being scaled up. Furthermore, surprisingly, the catalyst is pre-evaporated
Dispensing as a liquid jet is more effective than dispensing in gaseous form
I understood that. This means that when dispensing in gas form, the nozzle
Caulking occurs practically immediately. The design of this nozzle is
In addition to being used in solutions, a very small amount of liquid can be used as a fine jet continuously in hot gas.
Can be sprayed. Uses include laboratory equipment and packages where the additive must be liquid.
It is an Ilot device.
The possible designs of the nozzle according to the invention are described below with reference to the side sectional views shown in the accompanying drawings.
This will be described as an example. The present invention is not limited in any way by this.
The attached drawing shows a nozzle 1 in which a liquid 13 is pumped by a pump (not shown).
Through a stainless steel tube 2 having a cooling jacket 8,
Can be transported through the nozzle tip 3 at the pressure of the nozzle. The tip 3 comprises a spray member, i.e.
Including two holding screws 4 and 5 for pressing and fixing the chirping plate 6 against the first seal 9
No. The nozzle plate 6 is provided with spray holes 7 having a diameter of 10 μm to 30 μm.
ing. Tube 2 and tip 3 can be adjusted by adjusting the temperature of the tube to nozzle tip 3.
At the outlet of the spray hole 7.
Can be done up to. This is because the space 14 through which the coolant 14 can flow
This is done by surrounding the loop 3.
The first seal 9 allows the liquid 13 to bypass the nozzle plate 6 between the screws 4 and 5
So as not to get out of the nozzle tip 3. The seal is a nozzle play
6 is located behind. Thereby, the material generated by the wear of the seal 9
So that the hole 7 is not closed. The second seal 10 is formed between the screw 4 and the wall of the tip 3.
Do not go out between. Filter 1 inserted between second seal 10 and screw 4
1 also prevents the spray holes 7 from being blocked. Conduit 15 connects coolant 14
It is effectively distributed in the space 12 around the chip 3.
