One such method is the urethane cold-box process, which uses amines as catalysts or curing agents, and is described in the special issue of Giesserei 78 (1991), Vol. 11, pages 372-374. It is described in. This known core and mold manufacturing method uses a molding composition containing a benzyl ether resin (orthophenol, resole) and an isocyanate, and cures the composition using a tertiary amine as a catalyst. Since the catalytic effect of amines is particularly advantageous in the gas phase, tests have been carried out using trimethylamine (TMA), which has a boiling point of about 3 ° C., for which reason the use of TMA is a relatively simple method using gaseous amines. Can be cured. The promoting effect of tertiary amines by producing reactive transient compounds during the polyurethane reaction is described by the following reaction equation. The production of a core by this known method has the disadvantage that the tertiary amine is supplied to the core shooting machine in a significantly greater quantity than required. Although the use of trimethylamine has been shown to be advantageous in reducing the amount of amine used by about 50% compared to other amines, the use of trimethylamine is still associated with disadvantages. One problem is the extreme annoyance caused by the odor, which requires that all parts of the equipment used be leak-free. All plumbing must be isolated at relatively high cost. The Gieserai editorial further shows that the various amines increase in reactivity from "slugish" to "reactive" in the order of TEA, DMIA, DMEA and TMA. Apart from its poor reactivity, TEA also suffers from the disadvantage that it forms an aerosol. Binders for molding materials for casting light metals are disclosed in DE-A-3017925, which describes details of cold, box and process technology. For example, it indicates that trimethylamine or triethylamine could be used as a tertiary amine. In the process described, it is advantageous to use a stream of an inert gas such as air, carbon dioxide or nitrogen containing 0.01 to 30% by volume of a tertiary amine. G. Engels, Stuttgart's public debate, G. Engels, Stuttgart, Cold Box Process, on May 6, pp. 249-254, Gieserai 58 (1971) No. 9, further describes the use of triethylamine. . It shows that the amount of triethylamine to be used depends in particular on the size of the core. Theoretically, it has been shown that as little as 0.01 to 0.02% by volume of catalyst can be used. Under no circumstances should the addition rate exceed 0.05 to 0.1% by volume. This is because beyond this, not only is the odor annoying, but also the quality of the core is reduced. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a core for metal casting which largely avoids the above-mentioned disadvantages, and at the same time to provide a method which can be implemented in a relatively cost effective manner. The invention introduces gaseous trimethylamine into the parts of the metering device (3), and then has a concentration of 0.01 to 0.12% by weight, based on the amount of sand used for one core. Trimethylamine is introduced into the core shooting machine (4), where it is brought into contact with sand, in which case a purge gas is introduced before introducing gaseous trimethylamine into the core shooting machine (4), and then trimethylamine is introduced. To provide a method for producing a sand core for metal casting, wherein the amount L of purge gas used is within the ratio of T to L of 1 to 1000 to 1 to 10000 with respect to the amount T of It is. Generally, the sand supplied to the core shooting machine is already mixed with the benzyl ether resin and the isocyanate, and thus the production of the core is performed according to the urethane, cold, box, process principle. A general gas transport device can be used, for example, a metering device that appropriately adjusts the amount of trimethylamine by a control chain or a regulator can be used. Thus, the device may consist of several parts, such as a transport device, a measuring device, a controller, etc., or may be made as a single unit. Gaseous trimethylamine is not required to pass through all parts of the metering device, but is introduced into a portion of the metering device. In this way, the liquid trimethylamine can flow through several parts of the metering device and is subsequently converted into the gas phase and flows through the remainder of the metering device in gaseous form. Surprisingly, with the method according to the invention, the nuisance of extreme odors can be largely avoided, so that expensive isolation of the various parts of the core production facility is no longer necessary. Further, advantageously, odor nuisance is eliminated during storage of the subsequently produced core. Also surprisingly, almost stoichiometric conversion of trimethylamine can be achieved, and thus the process of the present invention can be cost-effectively performed due to the relatively low use of trimethylamine. The introduction of the purge gas can take place before or after the metering device. The sand in the core shooting machine is preferably brought into contact with the trimethylamine and the purge gas at the same time, so that the core is purified by the purge gas at the same time as it is exposed to the trimethylamine, so that extreme odor annoyance during core storage is avoided. Can be completely avoided. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the purge gas is introduced directly into the metering device. By this means, the amount of conduits or pipes can be reduced, which is particularly advantageous when the installation space for the core production equipment is limited. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, trimethylamine is supplied in liquid form to the metering bellows forming part of the metering device, and then trimethylamine is fed to the measuring, controlling or regulating device forming part of the metering device. Are introduced in gaseous form. Trimethylamine is commercially available, usually in liquid form. However, it is advantageous that the trimethylamine is converted to the gaseous phase before the trimethylamine comes into contact with the sand already mixed with the benzyl ether resin and the isocyanate in the core shooting machine. This makes it possible to mix trimethylamine with sand relatively easily and homogeneously. Surprisingly, it has been found that by introducing trimethylamine into the metering bellows, the form of trimethylamine can be advantageously converted from the liquid phase to the gas phase. Although heat is absorbed from the surroundings during the conversion of trimethylamine from the liquid to the gaseous phase, the metering bellows remain better served than other transportation equipment. The gaseous trimethylamine then passes through a measuring, controlling or regulating device which can dispense the desired specific amount of trimethylamine to be used. This information is transmitted directly by the line to the weighing bellows, where it is converted into a corresponding setting for the reciprocating movement of the weighing bellows. It is particularly advantageous that the metering bellows have a relatively simple shape, since they can be easily modified for use in existing core manufacturing equipment. The present invention will be specifically described with reference to the embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 of the accompanying drawings is a simple schematic process diagram of a method for manufacturing a core for metal casting according to the present invention. FIG. 2 is a simplified schematic process diagram of another embodiment of the method of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 1, the sand already mixed with the benzyl ether resin and the isocyanate is removed from the sand mixer (5) and sent to the core shooting machine (4) by the conduit (10). The cylinder (1) contains liquid trimethylamine and is warmed by a water bath (8). Heating is provided by a heating coil (7), which is directly connected to a heating device (6). Conversion of trimethylamine from the liquid to the gas phase occurs as a result of heating. The gaseous trimethylamine is passed through a conduit (2) to a metering device (3). In the metering device (3) the amount of trimethylamine is measured and adjusted to the desired amount according to the given specific value. Thereafter, trimethylamine is introduced into the core shooting machine (4) through the conduit (9) at a concentration of 0.01 to 0.12% by weight, based on the weight of the sand used for one core, Contact with the sand there. Purge air is introduced into the conduit (2) from the conduit (11) and the valve (12) in order to avoid causing extreme annoyance due to the odor of trimethylamine. During the introduction of the trimethylamine, an air purge of the sand takes place simultaneously in the core shooting machine (4). Referring to FIG. 2, the weighing bellows (3a) and the measuring, controlling and adjusting device (3b) together constitute a weighing device corresponding to the weighing device (3) of FIG. Trimethylamine is present as a liquid in cylinder (1). When valve (15) is closed, liquid trimethylamine is introduced into metering bellows (3a) via open valve (13). As a result, trimethylamine expands and is largely converted to the gas phase. The setting of the reciprocating movement of the metering bellows (3a) is made by the line (14) according to the given specific values of the measuring, controlling or adjusting device (3b). Thereafter, when the valve (13) is closed, gaseous trimethylamine is introduced into the measuring, controlling or regulating device (3b) through the already open valve (15). The addition of purge air is made by conduit (11) and valve (12). Since the metering bellows (3a) and the measuring, controlling or regulating device (3b) together correspond to the metering device (3) of FIG. 1, the addition of purge air in the embodiment of FIG. , And also directly to the weighing device.
