Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.流体から物質を排出する排出装置において、 排出すべき物質を含む流体を収容する排出セルであって、物質を排出する位置 を規定する単一の排出直立部を有する排出セルと、及び 前記排出直立部を実質的に取り囲むように前記セル内に配置された1つ又は複 数の排出電極と、を備える排出装置。 2.前記排出電極は、排出直立部の周囲の少なくとも50%を取り囲んで延びて いる請求項1に記載の装置。 3.前記排出電極は、複数の部分を有する電極である請求項1又は2に記載の装 置。 4.流体から物質を排出する排出装置において、 排出すべき物質を含む流体を収容する排出セルであって、前記セルから外側へ 延びると共に物質を排出する位置を規定する単一の排出直立部を有する排出セル と、及び 各々が前記排出直立部の各側部に配置される一対の排出電極と、を備える装置 。 5.前記排出電極は、使用時に同一電圧を提供するように電気的に接続される請 求項4に記載の装置。 6.前記排出電極は、複数の部分を有する電極である請求項4又は5に記載の装 置。 7.前記排出直立部は使用時に前記セルの外側端部に流体のメニスカスを留め、 前記排出直立部はセパレータの角を含み、前記セパレータの角は、前記セルを少 なくとも部分的に2つの2分割部分に分割し、前記2分割部分の各々はセパレー タの各側部上にある請求項4乃至6のいずれかに記載の装置。 8.前記セパレータは実質的に平坦又は板状であり、複数のセルが間隔を空けて 接近して配列され、各セルは、各々が各側部上にある一組の第2の板状セパレー タによって隣接するセルから分離され、交互の位置のセパレータを使用して排出 直立部が形成される請求項7に記載の装置。 9.前記第2のセパレータはセルの外部へ突出しないが、セルの外側の境界を規 定し、排出直立部は前記境界を通って突出し、板状セパレータの積み重ねが排出 セルの列を規定し、前記排出セルの各々は1つの角に排出直立部を有する請求項 8に記載の装置。 10.前記セルの側端部は適切に配置されたカバープレートにより閉じられてい る請求項1乃至9のいずれかに記載の装置。 11.前記カバープレートは、排出直立部の周囲の電界を強化するための付加的 又は2次的な電極を構成する請求項10に記載の装置。 12.各排出電極の第1部分は排出直立部の面上に配置され、各排出電極の第2 部分は隣接するセパレータの対向面上に配置される請求項6乃至8のいずれかに 記載の装置。
