It is already known to illuminate monuments with a beam of colored light, with the color, brightness and direction of the beam changing at a fast or slow rate. Nevertheless, a number of architectural features or components, such as columns, windows, balcony or statutes, intended to be emphasized, shaped and colored, are very accurately, continuously Illuminate a surface such as a front (such as a building or church) with a light beam that changes in time, either multicolored or multicolored, and additionally a still or moving image on a flat or non-planar surface such as a building or stage Is difficult or impossible with current known means. An object of the present invention is to satisfy this condition. To this end, the present invention provides a method of illuminating an object, comprising: acquiring at least one image of the object; and processing the image, wherein the processing comprises coloring the image. And projecting the processed image onto the object, wherein the contours and dimensions of the projected image and the corresponding contours and dimensions of the object are matched. When the image processing step includes merely coloring a portion of the object, such as a building, projecting the processed image onto the building includes illuminating the building and decorating it at the same time. Becomes possible. It colors the impression to the spectator that the impression would be the same as that obtained by painting these parts of the building, e.g. the colonnade blue and the statue white. Then, in the color of the cloth or accessories, color the door frame red and the windows yellow. For example, the inclusion of a colored decoration, such as a fresco, in the handled image gives the impression that the handled image is directly colored when projected onto the object. In a first embodiment of the present invention, obtaining at least one still or moving image of an object, digitizing said image, digitally processing it, Exposing the image to a still or motion picture film, developing the film to obtain the processed image with a transparent film, and projecting it onto an object. In another embodiment, the method includes acquiring at least one video image of the object, digitizing it, digitally processing it, and using a video projector or laser beam illumination device. Projecting the processed image onto an object. The present invention also provides an apparatus for illuminating an object, particularly performing the method described above. The apparatus is characterized by including camera means for acquiring at least one image of the object, means for processing the image, and means for projecting the processed image onto the object. The camera means may be of a type having a video output, for example a CCD camera. In that case, the projection means is of the type having a video input, such as a video projector or a laser illuminator. In another embodiment, the camera means is a photographic camera for capturing still or moving images, wherein the processor means comprises means for digitizing the image and means for digitally processing the image. And means for exposing the still or motion picture film, wherein the projection means is constituted by one or several conventional optical projectors. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The invention will be better understood, and other features, details and advantages will emerge from a reading of the following description, given by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: FIG. FIG. 1 schematically illustrates how an image is acquired and projects an object, such as a building, backward. FIG. 2 is a flowchart of the main steps of the method of the present invention. FIG. 1 schematically represents a building 10 that is illuminated in a special way, for example at a celebration of an event such as a celebration, a festival or a light show of Christ. To this end, the present invention comprises acquiring at least one image of a portion of the illuminated building using camera 12, which is a still or moving image camera, such as a CCD video camera. The camera is such that, for the building 10, the image of the building 10 taken by the lens 14 of the camera 12 is the largest possible portion of the photosensitive surface (photographic film or CCD sensor matrix) on which the image is formed. Are relatively arranged at a position P that occupies After suitable processing steps performed using the data processing system 16, this image of the building 10 can be used to illuminate the building 10 at night or in the dark with at least one projector located at the position P described above. Project backwards. The projector may be a conventional (slide) projector or a video projector or a laser illuminator, depending on the type of image to be projected. The main steps of the method according to the invention comprise a first step 18 for acquiring an image of the building 10, as schematically represented in FIG. When the image has been captured using a conventional type of camera that exposes black and white or color photographic film, it continues to the developing step 20, after which the photographic image is digitized using a scanner, as indicated at 22. Is done. It is then loaded into the memory of a data processing system 16, such as a microcomputer or minicomputer that is compatible with appropriate graphics processing software. When an image of the building 10 is acquired using a CCD video camera or the like, the resulting image is digitized and subsequently, in a desired manner, as indicated at 24 in FIG. Loaded into the data processing system to be processed therein. By way of example, the processing performed on the image of the building 10 comprises coloring. It balances colors, changes the color and brightness of exact parts of an image or exact architectural features of an image, includes components of an image, causes defocus, corrects, etc. For example, window frames are colored yellow, columns are blue, statues are white, balcony is red, roofs are green, and so on. Also, effects such as moai, marbling, etc. can be added to specific parts of the image. Also, in other embodiments, the image processing can be performed manually (coloring, correction, etc.). The image resulting from processing step 16 is applied to the input of a video projector or the input of a laser beam illuminator indicated at 28 for projecting at the building 10 from the position P described above, using a suitable interface. Or, if a conventional projector of the slide projector type is used, the data processing system is connected to a photographic imager, as indicated at 30, which allows the processed image to be exposed on photographic film. The film is developed to provide a positive image on the transparent film and is then projected from location P onto the building 10. Preferably, the same lenses 14 used to obtain the images, ie, the same lenses, are used. Thus, it is possible to very precisely overlap the visible components of the building with the corresponding components of the image processed to be projected on the building. In order to project an image on a building with good light intensity, good color and good saturation of the color, it is necessary to use a projector with a high illumination output. The high illumination power is a high power projection lamp, typically 5000 W to 7000 W or 10000 W, and generates a lot of heat during operation. As schematically represented in FIG. 1, when the object surface to be illuminated is large, it is shared by each neighboring area with a determined maximum area (for example around 400 m 2 ). The image is then projected using a number of projectors equal to the number of areas to be illuminated, allowing good color reproduction, good brightness and high contrast to be obtained together. The distance between the plurality of projectors and the illuminated object and the size of the area of the object surface are usually a compromise between lens characteristics, land and projection lamp. Usually, the distance is several tens of meters, for example 30 to 40 m. Naturally, this decorative lighting of the building 10 can be changed in time, for example by changes in colors, their saturation or light intensity. It makes it possible to project various decorative lights by means of the crossfade effect. The images of the building can then be acquired from different angles, and the image to be processed is projected continuously or simultaneously from the same angles and positions used to acquire the images. This is done, for example, to project on the front and side walls of the building in different ways and at different angles. A number of special effects are then obtained, which are well known to those skilled in the art of spotlight and laser beam illumination. It is also possible to use a cinema projector, which projects a cinema film on the object in the manner described above. The motion picture film is, for example, a film on which a processed image and / or a composite image of an object has been exposed. Subsequently, the film is developed. The image may be a still image, a moving image, or a video of a photograph. By way of example, it has been found that a device sold under the name "Kodak Premier" can be used for digitizing, processing and exposing photographic film (steps 22, 26 and 30 in FIG. 2). ing. The device includes a reader, a workstation, and an imager. The reader is for negatives that can reverse black and white or color films and for lithographic films that receive molds from 35 mm to 20 × 25 cm 2 . The workstation performs the image processing described above. The imager allows the film to be exposed in any type from 35 mm to 20 × 25 cm 2 at a resolution of 40 pixels / mm. The processed image, that is, the image reproduced on the film, is projected using a commercially available projector using high power lamps (hundreds to thousands of watts). Generally, the present invention provides multicolor decorative lighting of buildings, structures, monuments, statues or stages, etc., or natural features such as rocks or cliffs, and also includes fresco-coloring, It is possible to reconstruct a moving image scene on a wall or a rock of a building.
