- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.種々のプログラムを構成する対応するパケット化されたデータストリームに 同じPIDが与えられており、上記プログラムを構成する個々のパケット化され たデータストリームを識別するパケット識別子(アイデンティフィイア)(PI Ds)の番号付け直しをするステップと、 上記番号付け直しされたパケット識別子(PIDs)を、上記プログラムを構 成する個々のパケット化されたデータストリームと関連付けるプログラムマップ テーブル(PMT)を生成するステップと、 上記プログラムを上記PMTを含むパケットを識別するPIDsと関連付ける プログラム関連テーブル(PAT)を生成するステップと、 からなるパケット化されたデータストリームの形式のプログラムのデータの内容 の復元時に使用するのに適したプログラム特定情報(PSI)を形成する方法。 2.ヘッダデータを上記PSIパケットデータに付加するステップと、 上記PSIでMPEGコンパチブルセクションを形成するステップと、 を含む請求項1記載のプログラム特定情報(PSI)を形成する方法。 3.さらに、上記PMT中にエンクリプション(暗号化)コードを組み込むステ ップを含む請求項1記載のプログラム特定情報(PSI)を形成する方法。 4.パケット識別子(PIDs)を、上記プログラムを構成する個々のパケット 化されたデータストリームと関連付けるプログラムマップテーブル(PMT)を 生成するステップと、 上記プログラムを上記PMTを含むパケットを識別するPIDと関連付けるプ ログラム関連テーブル(PAT)を生成するステップと、 上記PSIとそれに先行するPSIの内容との間の実質的な差異には無関係に プログラムの後の処理に上記PSIが適用されるべきことを示すためにあるパラ メータを上記PSI中で使用するステップと、 からなるパケット化されたデータストリームの形成のプログラムのデータの内容 の復元時に使用するのに適したプログラム特定情報(PSI)を形成する方法。 5.上記パラメータはパケットヘッダ内のMPEGコンパチブル不連続インジケ ータである、請求項4記載のプログラム特定情報(PSI)を形成する方法。 6.上記パラメータはパケットヘッダ内のMPEGコンパチブル移送エラー・イ ンジケータである、請求項4記載のプログラム特定情報(PSI)を形成する方 法。 7.上記パラメータはパケットヘッダ内のMPEGコンパチブル連続カウンタで ある、請求項4記載のプログラム特定情報(PSI)を形成する方法。 8.上記連続カウンタは、MPEGコンパチブル不連続インジケータの状態には 無関係に上記PSIの連続する発生間の不一致を指示するようにセットされてい る、請求項7記載のプログラム特定情報(PSI)を形成する方法。 9.上記パラメータは、上記PSIが上記プログラムの連続処理時に適用される べきであることを示す論理レベルにセットされている、請求項4記載のプログラ ム特定情報(PSI)を形成する方法。 10.パケット識別子(PIDs)を、上記プログラムを構成する個々のパケッ ト化されたデータストリームと関連付けるプログラムマップテーブル(PMT) を生成するステップと、 上記プログラムを上記PMTを含むパケットを識別するPIDsと関連付ける プログラム関連テーブル(PAT)を生成するステップと、 上記PSIの種々のバージョン間の違いを識別するために上記PSIにバージ ョン番号を組み込むステップと、 上記連続的発生間のPSIの内容の実質的な変化に無関係に連続的に発生する 上記PSI間で上記バージョン番号を変化させるステップと、 からなり、 上記PSIは上記プログラムのデータの内容の復元時に使用するのに適したも のである、プログラムを表わすパケット化されたデータストリーム中の複数の位 置に組み込むためのプログラム特定情報を形成する方法。 11.さらにタイトル、持続期間、プログラムの説明、過激さの等級付け、年齢 適合性の等級付け、記録時間、記録の日、バージョンのリストから選択された上 記プログラムを説明する個人的なデータの要素を生成するステップを含む請求項 1または4または10記載のプログラム特定情報(PSI)を生成する方法。 12.さらに上記個人的なデータの要素を上記PMTのユーザ指定セクションに 組み込むステップを含む、請求項11記載のプログラム特定情報(PSI)を形 成する方法。 13.さらに、ネットワーク情報テーブル(NIT)を生成するステップと、 上記ネットワーク情報テーブル(NIT)中に上記個人的なデータの要素を組 み込むステップと、 を含む、請求項11のプログラム特定情報(PSI)を形成する方法。 14.プログラムを構成する個々のパケット化されたデータストリームにパケッ ト識別子(アイデンティファイア)(PIDs)を関連付けるプログラムマップ テーブル(PMT)を生成するステップと、 タイトル、持続期間、プログラムの説明、過激さの等級付け、年齢適合性の等 級付け、記録時間、記録の日、バージョンのリストから選択された上記プログラ ムを説明する1あるいはそれ以上の個人的なデータの要素を上記プログラム結合 テーブル(PAT)中に含ませるステップと、 上記プログラムを上記PMTを含むパケットを識別するPIDsと関連付ける プログラム関連テーブル(PAT)を生成するステップと、 からなるパケット化されたデータストリームの形式のプログラムのデータの内容 の復元時に使用するのに適したプログラム特定情報(PSI)を形成する方法。 15.さらに、ネットワーク情報テーブル(NIT)を生成するステップと、 上記ネットワーク情報テーブル(NIT)中に1あるいはそれ以上の上記個人 的なデータの要素を組み込むステップと、 を含む、請求項14記載のプログラム特定情報(PSI)を形成する方法。 16.条件付きアクセステーブル(CAT)を生成するステップと、 上記条件付きアクセステーブル(CAT)中にエンクリプション(暗号化)コ ードを組み込むステップを含む請求項1または14記載のプログラム特定情報( PSI)を形成する方法。
