すなわち、その構造は図1に示すように、二枚の平座金
(形は方形から円形まで)(1)の間に螺旋状バネ(円
錐スプリング)(2)を挟んだもので、この複合座金を
用いることにより部材間の固定に関し遊びを作ることが
出来る。従って、地震等の大きな力に対し、この遊びを
利用して、その力の力学的エネルギーを熱エネルギーに
変換(バネの弾性力の位置エネルギーに変換後、バネの
伸縮停止までの過程における分子摩擦<減衰振動>によ
る)して外部に放出させるので、建築物や構築物、大型
機械装置等の構造部材の破損や固定器具等の破損を防止
することができ、その利用価値は極めて大きい。さて、
この複合座金と締め付けナット(3)の締め込み位置
(二枚の平座金(1)の間隔)は部材の材質により異な
るので、その用途や適合条件及び環境条件に応じて適宜
決めてやるようにする。さて次に、この複合座金を取り
付ける際の作業能率を良くするための工夫として、製品
出荷の段階で、図2に示すように、二枚の平座金(1)
のそれぞれの四隅に穴を開けておき、この平座金を一杯
まで押し縮めた状態で、その四隅を固定バンド(樹脂バ
ンド等)(4)で留めてやるようにする。そして、これ
を使用する段階で、ナット(3)を予定した位置にはめ
(負荷が掛かっていないので手廻しが早い)てから、固
定バンドの切り放し(市販の樹脂性バンドはハンマー等
で横を叩くことにより簡単にフックが外れる)をしてや
る。これにより、切り放しの時点でバネの弾性機能が働
