2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a throw-away tip used for heavy cutting such as a rolling roll as described above, there is, for example, an approximately square plate-shaped tip. In this tip, a ridge on an upper surface opposed to a lower surface forming a seating surface is known. Is a cutting edge, and a rake surface with a downward slope and a raised portion with an upward slope rising from the bottom of the rake face are provided inside the upper surface following the cutting edge, and are connected to a central plane portion having an insertion hole for clamping. It has. The side surface forming the cutting edge at the intersection ridge line with the upper surface is a negative flank having a clearance angle of 0 °. When such a chip is mounted on the tool body and the work material is cut, the chips generated by cutting with the cutting edge travel down the rake face in the direction intersecting the cutting edge and rise upwards. It is curled and discharged.

However, in such a conventional chip, when the chips pass through the raised portion and come into surface contact with and scrape, the raised portion is overheated and the chips are easily welded to the raised portion. Further, there is a disadvantage that the life of the chip is shortened because the raised portion becomes high heat due to friction with the chips and is easily worn. In addition, there is also a drawback that cutting resistance increases due to scraping of chips at the raised portions. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In view of such circumstances, an object of the present invention is to provide a throw-away tip that can suppress abrasion and heat generation due to rubbing with chips and improve the tip life.

In the indexable insert according to the present invention, a cutting edge is formed on a ridge of one surface, and a rake surface is formed inside the cutting edge, and the rake surface is formed inside the rake surface. A raised portion having a rising slope is provided, and a plurality of slits are arranged in the raised portion in a direction intersecting the cutting blade, and a groove communicating with the slit is provided inside the raised portion. And Chips generated by the cutting edge during cutting run while rubbing the ridges after traveling on the rake face, but the slits are arranged in the ridges, so the contact area between the chips and the ridges is small and chips To prevent chips from adhering to the ridges and promote chip separation, and at the same time, each slit communicates with the groove even if heat is generated by rubbing with chips at the ridges. Since heat can be released through the grooves, chip welding and wear due to heat generation of the raised portions can be suppressed, and the chip life can be improved.

Since the indexable insert 1 according to the present embodiment is configured as described above, the insert 1 is mounted on a turning tool (not shown) with the lower surface 2 as a seating surface, and is cut by the corner blade of the upper surface 3. When the work material is cut with the blade 6, the sharpness is ensured even if the clearance angle is negative because the rake face 9 of the cutting blade 6 is positive. After the chips generated by the cutting edge 6 travel on the rake face 9, they move upward along the ridge 10. At this time, since the ridge 10 is provided with a row of slits 12 at predetermined intervals, The contact area between the chip and the raised portion 10 is small, so that abrasion can be suppressed and frictional heat can be suppressed. Moreover, even if the raised portions 10 generate heat due to scraping between the adjacent slits 12 and the slits 12, the heat of the raised portions 12 is released through the groove portions 13 because the slits 12 communicate with the groove portions 13. Can be.
In addition to this, since the slits 12 are arranged along the direction in which the chips travel, the contact area is also small, the welding of the chips to the raised portions 10 is reliably suppressed, the chip separation is promoted, and the cutting resistance is further reduced. Can be reduced. Then, the chips are curled on the inclined surface of the raised portion 10, bent, processed and discharged.

When the raised portion 10 is worn by repeated scraping of the work material with the chips, the raised portion 12
Has a height that is lower than the inner central ridge 14.
Then, the raised portion 10 and the central raised portion 14 sandwich the groove 13.
This area functions as a breaker, so that even if there is any chip that can get over without being curled by the raised portion 10, it is curled and bent by the step with the central raised portion 14 and cut. And the like, and the chip processing is further promoted.

As described above, according to the present embodiment, the protrusions 10 are prevented from being rubbed by the chips, and the heat generated by the protrusions 10 is released through the slits 12 and the grooves 13 so that the chips can be separated from the protrusions 10. , The cutting resistance can be reduced, the chip welding can be prevented, the chip processing can be performed smoothly, and the chip life can be improved. Furthermore, if the protruding portion 10 is worn by repeating cutting, the step with the central protruding portion 14 functions as a breaker, and it is possible to further promote chip breaking and dischargeability.

In the above-described embodiment, the slit 12 is provided not on the rake face 9 but on the raised portion 10. However, the present invention is not limited to this. The length is arbitrary. Further, the slit 12 is configured to extend in a direction substantially perpendicular to the cutting blade 6, but may extend in a direction inclined at an obtuse angle or an acute angle with respect to the cutting blade, and preferably extends along the chip traveling direction. I just need. Further, the slits 12 in the same row do not have to be parallel to each other, and their angles may differ from each other by a small angle. Further, a second groove portion which intersects at an intermediate portion of each slit 12 in the same row facing one cutting edge 6 is formed into a groove portion 13.
May be formed in parallel or with a slight angle. In this case, the heat radiating property can be enhanced by further reducing the area rubbed with the chips.
