上端から下端に亘って次第に外側方に向かって壁面を遠
くした側方カバー7で側方開口部5の出口部を覆ってい

っており、該側方カバー7の下端に平面視コ字状の排出

の締め付け具38,38で着脱自在に取付けている。該
固定刃6も回転前後位に30度程度の後退角を有した刃
部6a,6aとしており、片側が摩耗すると反転して使
用する。この回転刃2と固定刃6を同一の部品とする
と、単に上下反転して組付ければよくコストダウンが図
れる。直立残幹(T)は、回転刃2の刃部2aと固定刃
6の刃部6aに挾まれて切断される。カバー3の前方開
口部4上方には、機体12前進時に直立残幹(T)上部
を前方開口部4に案内する残幹入口案内板54,54
が、先端側を広くした八字状に左右一対、丸頭ビス5

合裏面側で切断残幹が前方開口部4から前方に飛び出す
のを防止することもでき、これにより装置の上部から遠
くに飛散しようとする切断残幹を装置内下方に落とすこ
とができる。前方開口部4のカバー3である右外立壁3
c前端部は、カバー板を箱状に構成したモノコック構成
として軽量化を図っている。左側壁部は、前述したよう
に前支柱39で上下補強して入り口部のみ左内方立壁3
