らかな運筆感を得るためにオレイン酸等の脂肪酸類が配
合されている。しかしながら、これらのオレイン酸等の
脂肪酸類は、ボールペンのペン先に使用されている金属
を腐食し腐蝕生成物を生成したり、ペン先等から進入す
る水分等によって長期間経過すると変質したりすること
等により書き出しのスムーズさが失われる、いわゆる初
筆かすれが経時的に劣化するといった欠点が見られる。
更には着色剤として、顔料を含む場合には、オレイン酸
だけでは、書き始めの際のインキの出がスムーズになら
ないという欠点がある。
