2. Description of the Related Art It is known to use a transfer sheet as a means for forming a pattern on a metal product. Although various types of transfer sheets are known, the basic configuration is that a release layer is formed on a base made of paper or a synthetic resin film, and a pattern printing layer is formed on the release layer. An adhesive layer (a pressure-sensitive adhesive or a hot melt adhesive) is formed thereon.
Means are known in which the transfer sheet is transferred onto the surface of the transfer object by applying pressure and / or heat, and the base is peeled off. In addition, as means for using a color copy copying apparatus as the pattern forming means, in order to prevent the copy toner image from being collapsed, before forming the adhesive layer,
Screen printing is performed on the toner image on which the transparent acrylic urethane layer (protective layer) is fixed, and a hot melt adhesive layer is formed on the transparent layer (Japanese Patent No. 2840918). Means for infiltrating the adhesive into the toner particles (Japanese Patent Publication No. 7-7186, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 10-236087) and the like have been proposed.

By the way, the addition of a pattern to a product depends on the transfer sheet or the like, but it is a flat pattern, and the change as a purchase stimulus is limited to a change in pattern color. Therefore, if the metal surface is covered with a cloth, it is possible to provide a product rich in the change of the surface pattern, but even if the cloth is stuck for each product, the production efficiency is remarkably poor. There is also a possibility that it will be peeled off immediately by means. The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problem, and proposes that a pattern of a metal product is added by a cloth using a transfer sheet.

[0005] A method of manufacturing a patterned metal product according to the present invention is characterized in that the base body of the thermal transfer sheet is peeled off, adhered to a predetermined portion of the metal product, and heat-treated to form a pattern on the surface. The patterned metal product according to the present invention is characterized in that the patterned metal product according to the present invention includes fine irregularities and rough surfaces made of cloth at appropriate locations on the surface, and has a pattern portion formed by covering the cloth surface with a protective film. It is assumed that.

The thermal transfer sheet A has a release layer 2 formed by applying a wax-based release material on a base body 1 formed of a resin film (pet film) or a backing paper. A transparent base layer 3 is formed using heat welding to a metal, and a cloth 4 (appropriately as thin as possible and having a clear weave interval) is attached to the upper surface of the base layer 3.

[0008] Further, an acrylic resin liquid is applied so as to cover the cloth 4, and this is dried to form a top coat layer 5. In this top coat layer 5, the acrylic resin liquid permeates into the weave intervals of the cloth 4 and reaches the base layer 3 and is dried, so that the base layer 3, the cloth 4 and the top coat layer 5 are integrated. Thus, the thermal transfer sheet A is cut at a predetermined position (handle portion) C of a metal product (Western tableware) B to be transferred, the base body 1 is peeled off, and the base layer 3 is removed from the handle C. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a metal product having a pattern having a unique appearance in which the appearance is the surface of a fabric. In particular, since the base layer 3 serving as the adhesive layer, the fabric 4 and the top coat layer 5 are integrated in the pattern forming portion, the pattern is not easily peeled off with a robust structure.

The pattern can be colored by various means. For example, if the base layer 3 is colored by mixing an appropriate pigment without using a transparent material, the base layer 3
Is colored and becomes the background color of the cloth 4. Also, when the fabric 4 is used, a colored pattern can be easily formed by using a material dyed and colored with an appropriate dye or using a material dyed in a pattern. Of course, a change can be made by the difference in the thickness of the cloth. Further, also in the top coat layer 5, a method of making only the fine irregularities on the surface of the fabric stand out by giving a deep coloring can be selectively adopted. Further, the above-mentioned coloring means may be combined.

The thermal transfer sheet Aa according to the second embodiment is the same as the transfer sheet according to the first embodiment, except that a pattern layer 6 is provided below the cloth layer 4 so that the pattern 6 can be a unique pattern visible through the cloth 4. It is used for the production of provided metal products.

That is, a wax-based release material is applied on a base body 1 formed of a resin film (pet film) or mount to form a release layer 2, and an acrylic resin (for metal) The process until the transparent base layer 3 is formed by using (thermal welding) is the same as the first embodiment.

Next, a pattern layer 6 is formed on the base layer 3 as well. The pattern layer 6 may be formed by normal printing, but adopting a color copying means on the surface of the base layer 3 has the advantage of being able to cope with many kinds and many patterns.
However, when the color copying means is employed, if a heating roller is employed for heating and fixing the toner, it becomes difficult to integrate the top coat layer 5 due to oil and fat on the surface of the heating roller. Therefore, a toner image is formed by an electrostatic copying method. After that, the image portion is heated and fixed in a non-contact state, and thereafter, a cloth 4 that is as thin as possible and is transparent to the pattern 6 is adhered, and a top coat layer 5 made of an acrylic resin liquid is formed.
