せるだけで,2組以上の転写ローラを異なるタイミング
で像担持体から離間させることが可能となり,機構の簡
略化,コスト低減が可能となる。これを,例えば複数の
像担持体によってブラックトナーを含む複数の色のトナ
ーによる画像形成を行う画像形成装置に適用すると,ブ
ラックトナー用の像担持体に対向する転写ローラ若しく
はその支持部材に対する転写ローラ作用部の圧接タイミ
ングと,その他の転写ローラ作用部の圧接タイミングと
を異ならせることで,カラー,モノクロ時の各転写ロー
ラの像担持体への圧接/離間の切り換えを1つの駆動源
による簡略な機構で実現することが可能となる。更に,

の圧接タイミングと,その他の転写ローラ作用部による
圧接タイミングとを異ならせてなることを特徴とする画
像形成装置。
