According to the above-mentioned conventional sheet glass holding member, each part is deformed due to the whole formed of a soft material. Since it is formed so as to protrude from both side walls of the main body to the inside of the concave groove portion, particularly when attaching the sheet glass holding member to the edge of the sheet glass, or inserting the sheet glass holding member into the rear sheet glass supporting frame to which the sheet glass holding member is attached. When putting
As shown in FIG. 8B, the tip end side of the contact portion 16 that contacts the surface of the sheet glass H easily moves in the depth direction of the concave groove portion 8. Along with the movement, the entirety of the soft holding portion 6b is sunk into the concave groove portion 8, and the aesthetic appearance is easily deteriorated, and the sealing effect as the sheet glass holding member is easily reduced, and the functionality is reduced. There is a problem of inviting. In order to solve this problem, it is conceivable to increase the thickness of each part of the sheet glass holding member to improve shape retention, but with this, the elastic performance tends to decrease, and the elastic holding function of the sheet glass decreases. New problems arise, such as the problem of being difficult to fit into the frame for supporting the glass sheet.

The soft holding portion 6b is formed by providing a pair of holding portions 12 for holding the sheet glass H received in the concave groove portion 8 by elastic deformation force inside the both side walls of the holding member body 6a. is there. The holding portion 12 has a groove opening side fin portion 13 which can be elastically contacted with the plate glass H received in the concave groove portion 8, a groove bottom side fin portion 14, and a connection for connecting the both fin portions 13, 14. Two of the contact portions 16 having the fin portions 15 are laminated in the groove width direction of the concave groove portion 8 so as to be separable. Therefore, when used by being fitted to a small thickness of the glass sheet H, as shown in FIG. 2, each contact portion 16 is used as it is, and when used by being fitted to a large thickness of the glass sheet H, as shown in FIG. Figure 5
As shown in FIG. 6, by peeling off one (or both) of the contact portions 16a on the central side of the concave groove portion, another contact portion 16b connected to the back thereof can contact the sheet glass H. Thus, sheet glass H of various thicknesses can be targeted. The adjacent groove opening fins 13 of the contact portions 16a and 16b and the adjacent groove bottom fins 14 are arranged on the extension lines. An extension line between the groove opening side fin portions 13 and an extension line between the groove bottom side fin portions 14 have a gradient opposite to the surface of the sheet glass H so that the groove opening side fin portions 1 are opposite to each other.
3 and the groove bottom side fin portion 14 are arranged. Therefore, when an external force (for example, wind pressure) acts in the thickness direction of the plate glass H in a state where the plate glass H is loaded in the sash 1, the vector of the force applied to the groove opening side fin portion 13 and the groove bottom side fin portion 14 is: Acting in the opposite direction makes it difficult for the contact portion 16 to move along the surface direction of the sheet glass H (the depth direction of the concave groove portion), so that the contact portion 16 can be elastically supported while maintaining a stable posture. Become. Incidentally, as for the contact portion 16b, the support fin portion 1 supported by the concave groove bottom portion 9 of the holding member main body 6a.
8 is provided on an extension of the connection fin portion 15, so that the respective contact portions 16a and 16b can hardly move along the surface direction of the sheet glass H (the depth direction of the concave groove portion), and maintain a stable posture. It is configured so that it can be elastically supported in the folded state.

An example of a procedure for installing the glass holding member 6 will be described below. [1] The sheet glass holding member 6 cut in accordance with the outer dimension of the target sheet glass H is fitted to the outer peripheral edge of the sheet glass H as shown in FIG. That is, the two contact portions 16 are fitted so as to separately contact the front and back surfaces of the sheet glass H.
At this time, a portion corresponding to the corner portion of the glass sheet H is cut only in the bottom portion of the glass sheet holding member 6,
It is set to bend at that part. [2] The edge of the sheet glass H to which the sheet glass holding member 6 is attached is pushed into the groove 3 of the sash 1 (see FIGS. 2 and 6). Along with this operation, the elastic extension locking portion 17 is locked to the groove edge portion of the sash 1 and can be fitted in a fitting state of a predetermined depth.
