Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an waterproof electronic apparatus which is small in size, is inexpensive, and can surely prevent water drops from entering an operating. SOLUTION: The bottom-face housing section 17 having a memory card slot 15, a battery chamber 16, etc., of the waterproof electronic apparatus is opened and closed by means of a bottom lid 8. To the internal surface of the lid 8, an internal lid 24 which tightly closes the opening 14 of the housing section 17 when the lid 24 is put in the opening 14 and a water drop absorbing member 37 formed of expanded rubber are attached. The absorbing member 37 absorbs the water staying between the internal lid 24 and external lid 23 of the lid 8 when the lid 8 is opened and blocks the water flowing in the opening 14. When the lid 8 is closed, the absorbing member 37 is pressed and deformed and, consequently, the water absorbed in the member 37 is discharged.

When the bottom cover 8 is opened as shown in FIG. 4A, the water droplet absorbing member 37 is restored to its original state by the elasticity of the water droplet absorbing member 37 itself and the urging force of the urging mechanism 30. At the time of this restoration, water droplets accumulated between the outer lid 23 and the bottom surface of the camera 2 are absorbed by the water droplet absorbing member 37. Thus, when the bottom cover 8 is left open, water droplets do not flow into the bottom surface storage portion 17.

The foamed rubber constituting the water droplet absorbing member 37 is classified into a closed cell type in which each bubble is formed independently and an open cell type in which each bubble is formed continuously. In the embodiment, an open-cell foam rubber is used so as to easily absorb water droplets. However, in the water drop absorbing member 37 using the open-cell type foamed rubber, the water drop may be discharged to the biasing mechanism 30 when discharging the water drop. For this reason, the inside in contact with the urging mechanism 30 may be a closed cell type, and the outside that absorbs water droplets may be a continuous cell type, and the water droplet absorbing member may be formed of two types of foamed rubber.

Next, the operation of the above embodiment will be described. The camera 2 shown in FIG. 1 is covered with a waterproof case on the outside, and can shoot in rainy weather or underwater. When photographing in rainy weather, underwater, or the like, water enters between the bottom cover 8 and the camera 2 main body. As shown in FIG. The O-ring 28 fitted and attached to the outer periphery presses against the inner wall surface of the opening 14. As a result, water does not enter the opening 14.

When setting the memory card 12 in the camera 2 or replacing the dry batteries, the lock lever 9 is used.
Is operated to release the lock of the bottom cover 8, and then the bottom cover 8 is opened. For example, after a shooting operation in rainy weather or in water, water is accumulated between the lid member 8 and the bottom surface of the camera 2. When the bottom cover 8 is opened, the water droplet absorbing member 37 pressed and deformed by the outer cover 23 and the peripheral surface of the opening 14 is restored to its original state by its own elasticity and the urging of the urging mechanism 30. At the time of this restoration, the water droplet absorbing member 37 absorbs water accumulated between the bottom cover 8 and the opening 14. This allows

When the bottom cover 8 is closed after the replacement of the memory card 12 or the dry battery, the inner cover 24 fits into the opening 14 and is pressed by the outer cover 23 and the outer peripheral surface of the opening 14 to deform the water droplet absorbing member 37. I do. At this time, the water absorbed by the water droplet absorbing member 37 is discharged with the deformation of the water droplet absorbing member 37. Although the water discharged from the water droplet absorbing member 37 tries to flow into the opening 14, since the inner lid 24 has already been fitted into the opening 14 and sealed with the O-ring 28, Water does not enter. The water discharged from the water droplet absorbing member 37 is discharged out of the camera 2 from a gap 38 provided between the outer lid 23 and the bottom surface of the camera 2.
