Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and surely carry out fixing of a bus bar to a holder at a low cost. SOLUTION: In this method, each of plural bus bars 5 are fixed to a prescribed position inside a holding groove 7 with a holder 9 in an assembling process for a bus bar temporary assembly 1 for constituting one portion of a connector. In the holding groove 7, a recessed part 17 wherein a through hole 14 is penetrated in a groove bottom part in a fixed position of the bus bar 5 and which is communicated to the through hole 14 to make a groove width in a side of the groove bottom wider than a width of the bus bar 5 is recessed in both sidewalls of the bus bar 5. Therefore, a movable part of a molding die is left from the recessed part 17 through the through hole 14 in the holding groove 7, and an undercut part, for example an overhung portion in a bus bar fixing part, which makes an operation of the movable part of the molding die difficult is eliminated to maintain favorable moldability of the holder 9 as the whole.

When the plurality of bus bars 5 and 6 are directly inserted into the molding die of the connector 53 as the molded body, the connection terminal group is likely to be displaced or deformed by the flow of the injected resin. The time required for the insert into the mold and the molding cycle are lengthened, and there is a problem that the quality of the molded product deteriorates due to deterioration of the resin in the injection molding machine. To solve this problem,
A pre-formed body 54 prepared by insert-molding in multiple stages using a plurality of bus-bar temporary assemblies 51 and 52 in which the plurality of bus bars 5 and 6 were pre-assembled in advance was prepared.

9 and 60 are holding grooves 57 and 60 as shown in FIG.
A busbar fixing portion 61 is formed by overhanging predetermined upper edges of both side walls defining the busbar 58 so that the groove width D becomes narrower than the width B of the busbars 5, 6. The bus bars 5, 6 pass through the groove width D between the bus bars 61 and the holding grooves 57,
When the bus bar fixing portion 61 is press-fitted into the groove 58, the bus bar fixing portion 61 is elastically deformed and bent outward to partially widen the groove width D. Then, as shown in FIG. The bus bars 5 and 6 are fixed so as not to come out of the holding grooves 57 and 58 after returning.

However, FIG.
As shown in FIG. 10A and FIG. 10B, in the method of fixing the plurality of bus bars 5 and 6 to predetermined positions on the holders 59 and 60, the bus bars 5 and 6 are formed from a synthetic resin material. Since the busbar fixing portion 61 is made of a conductive metal material that is harder than the busbar fixing portion 61, the busbar fixing portion 61 is shaved.
As shown in (b), there is a problem that the fixing function is lost due to the lack of the bus bar fixing portion 61. Further, FIG.
Also, as shown in FIG. 11B, the heating and caulking process of the fixing projection 62 has a problem that the work efficiency of the assembling process is reduced and the cost is increased.

A method of fixing a bus bar to a holder according to the present invention is a method of fixing a plurality of bus bars at predetermined positions in a holding groove of a holder during a process of assembling a temporary bus bar assembly forming a part of a connector. After the bus bar is inserted into the holding groove, a die is inserted into a through hole provided at a predetermined position on the bottom of the holding groove, and the bus bar is partially widened by pressing the bus bar with the die and the punch. However, the bus bar is fixed by receiving the widened portion in the recess formed in the side wall of the holding groove, so that when the bus bar is fitted into the holding groove, an external force that causes deformation or breakage of the holding groove. It does not act on the holding groove and does not require a complicated assembly process. Therefore, the speed, reliability and work efficiency of the assembling operation are improved, and the assembling cost is reduced.

Further, the holder for fixing a bus bar according to the present invention is a holder for fixing a plurality of bus bars at predetermined positions in a holding groove in a process of assembling a bus bar temporary assembly constituting a part of a connector. The holding groove penetrates an insertion hole at the bottom of the groove at the fixed position of the bus bar, and has a recess communicating with the insertion hole and making the groove width near the groove bottom wider than the width of the bus bar on both side walls of the holding groove. Since the holding groove allows the movable portion of the molding die to withdraw from the concave portion through the insertion hole, an undercut portion that makes it difficult to operate the movable portion of the molding die, such as the conventional bus bar described above. There is no overhanging portion in the fixing portion, and the moldability of the entire holder is maintained well.
