厚が薄くなれば、強度が低下し変形し易くなるので、あ
まり薄くするのは好ましくなく、また厚くし過ぎると、
重量が増加するので、ヘッドが小さくなったり、ヘッド
の重心軸周りの慣性モーメントが小さくなってしまうの
で好ましくない。このフェース部材3は、ヘッド本体1
と嵌合固着された際に、フェース面側ではヘッド本体1
のフェース面部と同一面上にあり、ヘッド本体部1とフ
ェース面部との嵌合部には、極めて小さな凹状の溝を連
続的に配することで、つなぎ目を目立たなくすることが
できる。また、バック部材4は、金属材料であることが
好ましく、アルミ合金、ステンレス、銅合金、タングス
テン合金などが好適に使用できる。バック部材4の厚み
は、フェース部材3の補強及び打感のしかっり感の目的
から、0.8mmから10.0mm程度の範囲内が好適であ
