【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 サーマルヘッドを搭載したキャリッジを
プラテンに沿って往復動自在に支持し、閉じ部を有する
冊子を前記閉じ部を挟んで隣位する任意の両頁が開かれ
た見開き状態で前記プラテンとサーマルヘッドとの間に
搬送する搬送ローラを回転自在に配設し、この搬送ロー
ラとともに前記冊子を狭持しつつ搬送する圧接ローラを
回転自在に配設し、前記搬送ローラによって前記冊子を
見開き状態で側端部側から先に挿入して搬送し、その見
開き頁に前記サーマルヘッドによって所望の記録を行う
冊子用記録装置であって、前記冊子の見開き状態の両頁
のうち前記閉じ部より給紙方向下流側の頁に記録を行う
場合に、搬送される冊子の閉じ部が前記搬送ローラと前
記圧接ローラとの狭持位置を越えるまで搬送した後、前
記搬送ローラを逆回転させて前記冊子を給紙方向上流側
に搬送させつつ前記閉じ部側から順次前記サーマルヘッ
ドによって記録を行なうように制御する制御部を設けた
ことを特徴とする冊子用記録装置。
1. にサーマルヘッドを搭載したキャリッジをプラテンに沿
って往復動させつつ前記冊子の見開き状態の頁に前記サ
ーマルヘッドによって所望の記録を行う冊子用記録方法
であって、前記冊子の見開き状態の両頁のうち前記閉じ
部より給紙方向下流側の頁に記録を行う場合に、搬送さ
れる前記冊子の前記閉じ部が前記搬送ローラと前記圧接
ローラとの狭持位置を越えるまで搬送した後、前記搬送
ローラを逆回転させて前記冊子を給紙方向上流側に搬送
させつつ前記閉じ部側から順次前記サーマルヘッドによ
って記録を行なうように制御することを特徴とする冊子
用記録方法。
