Sensor
The present invention includes an element that responds to a physical change, and periodically changes around the element.
Structure that passes through and further includes an electronic evaluation device,
The element's response to converting current or voltage signals, especially rubber ties in vehicles
The present invention relates to a sensor for detecting the rotational movement of the gear wheel.
Such a sensor is described, for example, in EP-A-419,040.
Has been described. The element that responds to physical changes is the magnetoresistive element,
The element whose air resistance changes due to the action of another magnetic field. Generally, there are four
Such elements are summarized in Wheatstone Bridge. Electronic evaluation unit
The voltage at the center pickup of the ridge is pulled out with a tap, and the voltage changes with time.
Convert to a current signal or voltage signal.
Generally, a magnetoresistive element consisting of a thin ferromagnetic layer is attached to the end face of a magnet.
I have. In this case, the electronic evaluation unit is on a support behind the magnet. Magnetic
A toothed magnet wheel passes by the resistance element. This magnet wheel is used in cars
It is connected to the shaft of the wheel. The magnetic structure of the magnet wheel changes the magnetic field,
Can be sensed by the sensor.
The connected electronic evaluation device supplies a time-varying current signal. This current signal
The number indicates the angular velocity of the rotating magnet wheel. Electronic evaluation device and magnet in casing
Housed and form a so-called active rotation sensor.
Such sensors have proven to be particularly effective in vehicle manufacturing,
There is an advantage that the number of rotations can be detected.
The disadvantage, however, is that electrostatic discharge can destroy the sensor, especially its semiconductor components
It turned out that there was. This uses other magnetic field sensing sensors instead of magnetoresistive elements.
This is also true when using
Similarly, according to EP-A-340418, used in trains
Such a rotational speed sensor suitable for performing the above operation is known. Especially when the train starts
A very strong electric and magnetic field is generated. These electric and magnetic fields are emitted to the electronic device and
Easy failure. Therefore, in this European patent application, the sensor is small.
It has been proposed to embed it in a metallic tube. In this case, a magnetoresistive element or a magnetic field
The sensing element is provided at the open end of the tube.
For road vehicles with electrically insulated axles, rubber tires on wheels
Consequently, the axle is heavily electrostatically loaded under certain conditions. Axle is magnet wheel
Electronically connected to the wheel and mounted directly on the wheel hub via its terminals.
High voltage is generated between the magnet wheel and the sensor.
You. During spark discharge, the discharge energy is determined by the gap between the magnet wheel and the sensor and the electronic evaluation.
Through the charging device to the sensor terminals. This will damage the electronic evaluator with a high probability
Will be.
Therefore, an object underlying the present invention is to provide a sensor that is insensitive to electrostatic discharge.
Is Rukoto.
Therefore, between the element that responds to the physical change and the structure that changes periodically,
A shield is provided, and the shield is connected to a ground terminal of the electronic device. So
Thereby, the electrostatic discharge is guided beside the sensor element and the electronic evaluation device.
The shield is a conductive layer or a metal foil. This conductive or metal layer changes periodically.
Extend substantially parallel to the plane of the element near the structure to be transformed. But probably
It is sufficient that the line extends in the gap between the element and the structure. Both are lightning rods
Acts like EP-A-480418 proposes
Shield does not receive discharge energy in front of the sensor element,
Inability to protect against destruction.
As already mentioned, the sensing element may be a magneto-resistive resistor, which is thin.
Ferromagnetic layer. The shield extends parallel to this layer. C
The placement of the wire as a field does not substantially obstruct the magnetic field that the sensor responds to.
There are advantages.
In order to explain the present invention, FIG. 1 schematically shows a sensor and a magnet wheel.
is there.
The sensor 1 has a small distance from the toothed edge of the magnet wheel (magnetic pole wheel) 2.
It is arranged in. An element for sensing a magnetic field is provided in a casing 3 of the sensor 1.
It is embedded. An electronic evaluation device 5 is directly connected to this element. Feel the magnetic field
The known element 4, in particular the magnetoresistive element, is oriented towards the toothed edge of the magnet wheel
.
At least two lines 6, 7 are guided to the electronic evaluation device 5. In this case, 1
The wires 7 are connected to the basic potential (ground potential) of the vehicle-mounted electronic device. Magnetic field
A shield 8 is provided between the wheel 2 and the magnetoresistive element. This seal
The cable is connected to a ground wire 7 via a cable 9. The shield 8 is a thin layer
Or as a line. In this case, the layer is the magnetic
It is arranged parallel to the plane of the field sensing element.
Is the unit consisting of shield 8, element 4 and electronic evaluation device 5 a reason for stability?
Are cast into synthetic resin. The magnet wheel 2 is mounted on a shaft to which rubber tire wheels are fixed.
Are linked. An electric potential can be generated on this wheel. This potential is
Flashover occurs between the unit and the sensor. The shield is flashover
Current does not damage or destroy the magnetic field sensing element 4 or the electronic evaluation device 5.
To be. This is because the current flows through the shield 8 and the wires 9
This is because they are directly guided to the ground potential.
