Method and apparatus for supplying air to a combustor
Technical field
The present invention relates to a gas turbine pump having a compressor, a gas turbine, and a pressurized combustor.
A runt, such as a pressurized fluidized bed combined cycle (PFBCC) plant, or
The present invention relates to a combined gasification cycle (IGCC) plant.
Background art
In a gas turbine plant where pressurized combustion takes place in a combustor, the combustion gas
This gas is generated and drives the gas turbine. This gas turbine also burns
Drives a compressor that compresses air to pressurize the vessel. This compressed air is
It is simultaneously used as combustion air. Gas turbines are high pressure turbines and
It can be divided into low pressure turbines. With such a division of the gas turbine,
The low-pressure turbine is a low-pressure turbine for performing first-stage air compression through a separate first shaft.
The contractor can be driven. The high-pressure turbine is then passed through a second separate shaft
Drive the high pressure compressor. In high pressure compressors, air is evacuated before being sent to the combustor.
A second stage compression of the air is performed. There is a first stage between the low pressure compressor and the high pressure compressor.
A cooler can be provided to cool the compressed air.
The fuel supplied to the combustor may be gaseous fuel, liquid fuel,
Or it consists of a solid fuel, such as natural gas, oil or coal. From PFBC
The power plant relies on the above structure in which solid fuel, usually pulverized coal, burns in a fluidized bed in a combustor.
1 is an example of a plant including a gas turbine cycle.
In gas turbine plants, generators are used to generate useful energy.
Usually connected to a high pressure turbine via gears. Start the gas turbine plant
Generators are used as motors to accelerate the compressor,
The oven can be pressurized.
When determining the size of the plant, the size of the compressor is usually selected,
Optimal airflow at known low outside temperatures for more plant sites
It is. On the other hand, when the temperature at the site is higher, lower density air is obtained,
This reduces the mass flow of air through the compressor,
Therefore, the power of the plant is reduced. Another plant site has a different elevation above sea level
Where the air density is different and the
Require different sizes of fonts.
Setting the selected capacity of the compressor to a small ineligible size will later
It cannot be corrected by the device.
When a normal compressor ages, its capacity decreases, which was initially calculated
This means that the flow no longer matches the actual flow. Correct even in such cases
Can not do it.
One conventional method for increasing the density of air when the outside air temperature increases is water or water.
Or to cool the air with a refrigerator. Water cooling reduces air humidity
It is only possible when Cooling by a refrigerator becomes expensive. These two
One solution is due to the low air density where the plant is above sea level.
In such cases, sufficient functions cannot be obtained.
In Swedish Patent No. 500 150, the above problem is addressed by additional compression.
Supply additional air to the compressor of a gas turbine plant with the help of a compressor
A more solved method and apparatus is described. This solution requires additional pressure
To compress air in the compressor and pressurize the combustor and maintain combustion in the combustor
Compressed air completely or partially past the normal compressor that supplies air to the combustor
Supplying compressed air to the combustor by directing air.
The problem with the solution according to Swedish Patent 500 150 is that
Complex and expensive to attach to the device. Aerodynamic features
Mixing additional airflow into the main airflow of the plant without disturbing performance
Is difficult. In addition, the size of the gas turbine is determined based on a certain air flow.
Have been. Air through the turbine without increasing the air flow through the compressor
Increasing the airflow disrupts axial forces in the plant.
Summary of the Invention
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for supplying air to a combustor in a gas turbine.
I do. The present invention relates to a compressor in a gas turbine plant where the plant is always located.
Air with a certain density that is independent of the altitude above sea level that is independent of the ambient air temperature
It means accepting the flow rate.
Distributing air having a predetermined density to the compressor is achieved by providing a pressurized device upstream of the compressor.
This is achieved, for example, by arranging a conventional fan. Empty inside the fan
Air is necessary to be able to send air of a certain density to the low pressure side of the compressor.
It is compressed to the necessary degree. Pressurize the device to maintain the air density at a specified value.
The gas turbine's original air by placing it in front of the
Kinetic properties are not disturbed.
By distributing air having a predetermined density to the compressor, the combustion process in the combustor
The required airflow to the compressor, and connect the compressor to other components in the plant.
The possibility of adaptation to the minute is improved. Air flow was dependent on these components
It will be.
The present invention provides a method for reducing airflow to a compressor at higher ambient temperatures due to reduced airflow.
Offers the possibility of compensating for the loss of power of the engine. Additional benefits, for example, usually
Occurs when the size of the compressor is inappropriate or reduced air flow, for example
Compression occurring due to normal compressor changes caused by compressor aging and fouling
The possibility to readjust the airflow capacity of the machine.
Yet another advantage of the present invention is that other properties of the plant can be compressed upstream of the compressor.
It is not hindered by installing the device. In addition, this solution
Simple and cost-effective.

Before being supplied to the pressurized combustor BK via the pass valve V, it is further compressed. Low pressure compression
After the air is compressed in the compressor LPC, the air is compressed before being supplied to the high-pressure compressor HPC.
It can be cooled in the intercooler IC. The first axis A1 generates electric energy
To do so, the generator G is probably driven via the gear 12.
In this embodiment, the air to the low pressure compressor LPC passes through the pipe 8 to the pressurizing device F.
