Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely image nearly the whole of an object and to accurately judge a grade and class by a method wherein a specular body which reflects the image of the object toward an imaging camera is arranged and installed so as to face the outer circumferential face of the object in an inspection part and the specular body is installed in such a way that its reflectance is variable so as to be suitable for reflecting the image of the object. SOLUTION: This processor is arranged and installed in an inspection part on a sorting conveyor 4 which sorts many fruits or vegetables A according to their grade and class. An alignment conveyor 4 which supplies the fruits or the vegetables A so as to be aligned in a row is arranged and installed at the front stage of the sorting conveyor 4. A rotating machine which reverse the surface and the rear of the fruits or the vegetables A is arranged and installed in the lower part of the inspection part. Reflecting mirrors 7 which reflect side circumferential faces of the fruits or the vegetables A toward an imaging camera are arranged and installed in their side parts. In the reflecting mirrors 7, mirror-finished beltlike specular bodies 24 are arranged and installed on both side faces so as to face the side circumferential faces of the fruits or the vegetables A which are conveyed to the inspection part. The specular bodies 24 are stretched and hooked on rollers 26, 27 which are shaft-supported by support frames 25. Motors 28, with reduction gears, which are connected directly to the rolls 26 turn the specular bodies 24 intermittently by every rotation amount facing the side circumferential faces of the fruits or the vegetables A.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as an apparatus for inspecting fruit vegetables A of the above-mentioned example, as shown in FIG. 10, for example, as shown in FIG. Camera 6 captures the side peripheral surface of fruit and vegetable A reflected by body 61
3, the light passing through the fruit and vegetable A is detected by the light receiving member 62 disposed below the saucer 60, and based on the image data captured by the imaging camera 63 and the detection data detected by the light receiving member 62. FIG. 11 shows an apparatus of the first conventional example (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 10-146570) for judging the rank of fruit and vegetable A.
As shown in the figure, when the fruit and vegetable A is transferred from the conveyor 64 to the conveyor 65, the lower peripheral surface of the fruit and vegetable A reflected by the mirror body 66 disposed at the lower part and the side part between the conveyors 64 and 65 is removed. There is a second conventional example in which an image is taken by the image taking camera 67 and the class of the fruit and vegetable A is determined based on the taken image data.

However, since the above-described apparatus is used for an operation of continuously inspecting a large number of fruit vegetables A... At the time of the inspection operation, the mirrors 61 and 66 and the light receiving member 62 are not used. , Fruit and vegetable A skin, oil, juice or paper waste,
Foreign substances such as dust and dirt easily adhere to the mirrors 61 and 66.
When the reflectance of is reduced, the image of the fruit and vegetable A reflected by the mirror bodies 61 and 66 becomes unclear, and the error between the actual class and the class determined based on the image data increases. It is difficult to accurately determine the class of the object A. In addition, there is a problem that an error in the amount of light received by the light receiving member 62 is large, and determination errors frequently occur.

The support roller 16 attached to the upper end of the shaft support member 15 is formed in a shape (for example, a drum shape) having a large diameter from the outer peripheral surface at the center to the outer peripheral surface at both ends.
Fruits and vegetables A are arranged in a keyboard shape at an interval before and after the entire length of the fruits and vegetables A are placed in a substantially horizontal posture. Instead of the above-described support roller 16, a roller formed to have the same diameter from the outer peripheral surface on one end side to the outer peripheral surface on the other end side may be used.

The above-mentioned mirror body 24 is formed to have a length and a width that reflect the side peripheral surface of the fruit and vegetable A obliquely upward, and as shown in FIG. 4, for example, a metal plate (stainless steel), a resin film, or the like. For example, a metal (silver) is applied or vapor-deposited on the entire surface of the belt-like base 24a formed of a flexible thickness or material such as synthetic rubber, so that a reflective surface is formed on the entire surface of the belt-like base 24a. 24b are continuously formed, and the reflectance of the reflection surface 24b is set to be substantially equal to the image of the fruit vegetable A directly taken by the imaging camera 45.

On the other hand, the image data picked up by the imaging cameras 45 and 46 is compared with the class data stored in the apparatus main body 51, and the class is comprehensively determined. When the fruit product A is conveyed, the unlocking device 53 is operated, the support roller 16 is swung to the release position, and the fruit product A is released to the predetermined sorting unit for each class. The non-standardized fruit and vegetable A is released to another sorting unit and collected. In the same manner, fruits and vegetables A... As described above, when the reflectance of the belt-shaped mirror 24 is reduced, the mirror 24 is rotated by an arbitrary amount so that the reflecting surface 24b having a predetermined reflectance is placed on the side peripheral surface of the fruit and vegetable A. Since they are opposed and reflected, the mirrors 61, 6
The labor and work of wiping or replacing the light receiving member 6 or the light receiving member 62 can be omitted, and the reflectance suitable for imaging can always be stably obtained. Based on the captured image data, the grade of the fruit and vegetable A can be determined fairly, and the work of sorting by grade can be performed accurately.

Further, since the mirror body 24 is wiped by the wiping brush 29 and the wiping member 30 to recover the state before the reflectance is lowered, the predetermined reflectance can be maintained, and the imaging condition is always constant. Therefore, the class of the fruit and vegetable product A can be determined fairly and accurately, and the determination accuracy and reliability are improved.

Further, the fruit and vegetable A reflected by the mirror body 24
The left and right peripheral surfaces are imaged by the single imaging camera 45, so that a camera for imaging the left and right peripheral surfaces of the fruit and vegetable A is not required.
In the imaging region, when the fruit and vegetable A is turned upside down by the rotating machine 6, the imaging camera 46 for imaging the back side of the fruit and vegetable A becomes unnecessary, so that the number of cameras to be installed can be reduced, and the entire apparatus can be reduced. Can be simplified and the production cost can be reduced.

FIG. 5 shows another embodiment in which the substantially disc-shaped mirror 31 is rotated to reflect the image of the vegetable A.
The mirror 32 is rotated at an arbitrary angle (for example, 1/4) by driving the motor 32 directly connected to the center portion on the back side of the camera, and the reflecting surface 31b (approximately 1/4) having a predetermined reflectance is converted to fruit vegetable A. Since the image of the fruit and vegetable A is reflected toward the imaging camera 45 in opposition to the side peripheral surface of, the reflectance suitable for imaging can be stably obtained, and the same operational effects as those of the above-described embodiment can be obtained. Can play.
