Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multi-color molding wherein the boundary line of molding materials with different colors or different kinds clearly appears. SOLUTION: A multi-color molding 10 is constituted by providing the first and the second molding materials 12 and 13 and an opacifying material 14 for opacifying the bonding region A of the first and the second molding materials 12 and 13 from the surface side. In this case, as the opacifying material 14, a gel coat (a surface resin layer), a polyester film, a printed paper, a nonwoven fabric (a resin-impregnated type is included), etc., can be cited. The first and the second molding materials 12 and 13 are integrated through a curing process after fluid resin materials are cast into a mold and are integrated by inserting SMCs and BMCs into the mold and press-molding them.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a multi-colored molded article made of a plurality of colors or a plurality of kinds of resins has been used for a mirror panel with a counter installed in a washroom or an apron portion of a bathtub. The following various types of multicolor molded articles are known depending on the molding method.
That is, when applying the surface resin layer (gel coat) in the hand lay-up method, a plurality of gel coats having different colors are separately applied to predetermined regions by masking,
A first multicolored molded product expressing the difference in color on the surface by these gel coats, or a paper or nonwoven fabric on which a pattern such as a stone pattern is partially printed is set in advance, and a resin colored on the back side is set. A second multi-colored molded body expressing the difference in pattern on the surface by laminating the layers, and a third multi-colored molded body formed by bonding different molded products having different colors and the like in advance by bonding or the like. Or a fourth multicolored molded article formed by simultaneously pouring a molding material of a different color (different type) into a predetermined molding die.

However, in the first multi-colored molded article, since the thickness of the gel coat is usually as thin as about 0.2 mm to 1.0 mm, the color is expressed by such a thin layer. As a result, there is a disadvantage that it is difficult to obtain a deep color in appearance. Further, in the second multi-colored molded article, since the paper or the like on which the pattern is printed is planar, there is a disadvantage that a pattern with a deep appearance cannot be obtained even with this molded article. . Further, in the case of the third multi-colored molded article, it is necessary to perform a secondary process of giving different colors to the pre-molded articles and joining them together, so that the multi-colored molded article can be easily formed. It cannot be formed, which leads to an increase in cost, and a seam is formed on the joint surface, and the appearance is not always good. Further, in the fourth multi-colored molded article, although a multi-colored molded article having a large depth can be obtained, the flow pattern is formed by solidification in which mutual interference, that is, boundary areas of molded articles of different colors (different types) are mixed with each other. Is formed, and there is an inconvenience that a multicolor molded article having a color-coded pattern or the like in which a boundary line such as a color becomes clear is not obtained.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention relates to a multicolor molded article formed by joining a plurality of colors or a plurality of types of molding materials. A concealing material for concealing the region from the surface side is provided,
The configuration is adopted. According to this configuration, since the concealing material can conceal the boundary region between different or different molding materials from the surface side, the color between the molding material and the concealing material is clearly divided. And / or the pattern can be integrally expressed, and since the molding material itself expresses the color or pattern, compared to the case where it is expressed by a thin layer of gel coat, etc. A feeling can be given.

The present invention also relates to a method for forming a multicolored molded article obtained by joining a plurality of colors or a plurality of types of molding materials, wherein a concealing material is provided in a mold inner surface area where a partition plate for partitioning the inside of the mold is arranged. The partition plate is arranged by coating or laying, a molding material of a different color or a different material is injected into each area partitioned by the partition plate, and after the injection is completed, the partition plate is extracted before curing. A technique of forming a color molded body is employed. According to such a method, a multi-colored molded body having a depth and a color and / or pattern integrally formed by clearly dividing the boundary line between the molding material and the concealing material by simple molding. Can be formed.

As the molding method, besides cast molding, press molding can be used. In casting, injection ports are provided at a plurality of locations of a mold, and a predetermined molded product can be obtained by casting and curing a fluid resin material from each injection port and then removing the mold. When using cast molding,
It is also possible to adopt a method in which the concealing material is omitted, and the partition plate is extracted and molded before each molding material is completely cured. In press molding, S
MC and / or BMC can be placed in a mold as a molding material, and the molding materials can be joined to each other by closing the mold and applying pressure under heating. On this occasion,
By setting a concealing material in advance at a portion where the joint surface is exposed, it is possible to conceal the unclearness due to mutual fusion of the joint surface.

While MC was used, SMC was used as the second molding material 13. This molding was processed as a multicolor molded body forming a mirror panel with a counter installed in a washroom or the like.
That is, while BMC was applied as a counter portion on which a washbasin and the like were arranged, SMC was applied as other areas such as around a mirror surface, and the concealing material 14 was arranged between these BMC and SMC. The mirror panel with the counter thus obtained had a different appearance between the counter portion and the mirror panel portion, and had a high texture.

As is clear from the above Examples and Comparative Examples, according to the present invention, the boundary region between molding materials of different colors or different materials can be concealed from the surface side by the concealing material. By simple molding, it is possible to integrally express a color pattern in which the boundary between the molding material and the concealing material is clearly divided, and to express the color or pattern by the molding material itself. Is provided with a deep and high-quality material feeling, and a high-grade feeling can be provided, as compared with a case where is represented by a gel coat which is a thin layer.
