Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for furnishing a narrow tape cloth with a number of unit embroidery patterns, comprising linearizing the tape and the moving direction of a holding frame after sewing the respective unit embroidery patterns to facilitate the movement of the holding frame without developing bending and/or strain on the tape even in case the tape is thin and has no firm texture. SOLUTION: This method for pattering on a tape comprises using an arrangement made up of a tape holding frame 11 movable both longitudinally and transversely by a driving mechanism and a tape guide 14 for controlling the lateral width position of the tape to be passed on needle-threading penetrated bores of the holding frame 11, and has such a scheme that, after furnishing the tape 34 on the penetrated bores with specified embroidery patterns, the holding frame 11 is moved so that the centerline of the tape is situated on the needle-dropping bores, and a needle is allowed to descend into the bores to restrain the centerline of the tape, the holding frame 11 is then moved along the centerline of the tape toward a tape feed point and the next embroidery pattern area is situated on the needle-threading penetrated bores.

The automatic frame of the above-mentioned conventional automatic embroidery apparatus for a tape is constructed by raising a tape pressing member, moving a fabric tape from one of the holding portions through a guide hole of a guide sleeve so as to be along a slit, and further holding the other. The cloth tape is manually pulled in so as to go over the attachment portion, and the feeding part and the feeding part of the cloth tape outside the area such as the guide sleeve are clamped by a tape pressing member, and then the cloth tape is embroidered. At the time of this embroidery, the movement in the length direction of the fabric tape is restricted by the holding portion, and the movement in the width direction of the fabric tape is restricted by the slit edge, so that the embroidery to the fabric tape can be executed by the sewing head. When the embroidery is completed, remove the tape holding member from the clamping section, hold the fabric tape by hand, move it along the slit of the guide sleeve by hand in the length direction, and move the unembroidered part of the fabric tape to the sewing machine. After performing the manual operation of moving to the position corresponding to the head, the operation of fixing the both ends of the fabric tape by pressing the tape pressing member against the holding portion is repeatedly performed to perform embroidery on the entire area.

When the tape is relatively moved with respect to the holding frame, the tape is pulled on the sending side and the tape is drawn into the guide slit from the supply source. Since the slit width is set to the tape width, When the tape bends slightly,
If the tape is weak (thin cloth tape), the tape may be skewed at the entrance of the slit, curled up, and it may take time to correct it.

The tape patterning method of the present application is provided to solve the above-mentioned problems of the prior art. An object of the present application is to provide a tape patterning method for applying a large number of unit embroidery patterns to a narrow tape cloth with a suitable gap in the longitudinal direction or continuously. Another purpose is to apply a large number of unit embroidery patterns, fix a tape to a tape holding frame, move the holding frame vertically and horizontally to apply an embroidery pattern, and after holding the unit embroidery pattern, hold the tape. A tape patterning method in which the tape is released from the frame, and the holding frame is moved in the direction of the tape supply source while the tape is restrained on the table, so that the position of the tape with respect to the holding frame can be changed mechanically without manual operation. It is intended to provide. Another object is to linearize the tape and the moving direction of the holding frame when moving the holding frame in the tape supply direction so that even if the tape is thin and rigid, the tape can be bent or bent. , Without causing distortion, and even when the tape is strong, the tape and tape guide do not rub strongly,
It is an object of the present invention to provide a tape patterning method capable of facilitating the movement of the holding frame. The other purpose is
When moving the holding frame, first return the center of the holding frame to the position where the center line of the tape should be along with the tape, and move it along the original line to linearize the tape from the tape supply source to the holding frame. Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a tape patterning method capable of shortening (miniaturizing) the distance between a tape supply point and a holding frame. Other objects and advantages will be more readily apparent from the drawings and the following description associated therewith.

A needle drop hole provided on a table, comprising: a guide; and a tape pressing member movably provided with respect to the holding frame so that a portion of the tape overlapping with the through hole can be restrained and released by the holding frame. By moving the needle provided above the table up and down and moving the holding frame vertically and horizontally, an arbitrary embroidery pattern is put on the tape fixedly placed on the through hole for needle passing. In the method, after a predetermined embroidery pattern has been inserted into the tape on the through hole, the tape holding member is released before the holding frame is moved in the direction of the tape supply source. Move the frame so that the center line of the tape is located on the needle drop hole,
After the needle is lowered to the needle drop hole to restrain the center line of the tape, the holding frame is moved in the direction of the tape supply point along the center line of the tape, and the area of the next embroidery pattern is passed through the needle. In the next sewing step.

Reference numeral 13 denotes a through-hole for needle insertion provided in the tape receiving material 11b of the holding frame 11, which is slightly larger than a size corresponding to an area of an embroidery pattern (unit embroidery pattern) of an arbitrary size that can be sewn in one setting. It has a large through hole. Numeral 14 denotes a tape guide for regulating the width position of the tape 34 so that the sewing area 41 of the unit embroidery pattern on the tape overlaps with the through hole 13 for passing through the needle, and 16 is a tape width regulating portion. Reference numerals 17 denote lifting portions for preventing the tape 34 from floating on both sides. Although a gap 17a is provided between the opposing floating retainers 17 for convenience of tape insertion and ejection, it may be continuous. For example, two or all of the four tape guides 14 on the front side in FIG. 1 can be freely moved and adjusted in the width direction 34a of the tape 34 so as to be able to cope with a tape having a different width. You may keep it. As a means, for example, as shown in FIG. 3, a magnetic plate 11c is attached and fixed to the upper surface of the tape receiving material 11b, and the magnet 14a is buried in the lower surface of the tape guide 14, so that the two can be magnetically contacted, separated, and replaced. Then, (a) or (b) may be made wide and narrow freely as shown in the figure.

In the above configuration, first, the cylinder
The tape 34 is pulled out from the reel 32a while the tape holding member 20 is floated by operating the tape holding member 20, and is disposed toward the sending end 33 through the holding frame 11 as shown in FIG. In this case, the leading end of the tape 34 is placed near the delivery end 33 with the tape 34 resting on the through hole 13 for passing through the needle. Next, the tape holding member 20 is
By controlling 23, it is lowered, and the tape 34 is fixed (constrained) on the peripheral edge of the through hole 13 for passing a needle. As a result, the sewing area 41 of the unit embroidery pattern is superimposed on the through-hole 13 for passing through the needle. Next, the drive frame 7 is driven in the X and Y directions according to a program, and the needle 5 is moved up and down to sew the unit embroidery pattern 3 on the tape cloth 34 as is well known. In this case, the sewing is performed in order from the side closer to the sending end 33 (the left side of “A” in FIG. 5A) in the sewing expected area 41, in the order closer to the supply source (the side of the reel 32a) (FIG. 5). (B) to the right of "G"). In this case, in the case of multi-color sewing, it is preferable to change the needle (color) during sewing as is well known. When the unit embroidery pattern (for example, the pattern 3 of “AG” in FIG. 5) has been sewn, the needle 5 is dropped to the corresponding needle drop 2 at the next scheduled embroidery pattern position 41. In this case, when the sewing is completed at the lower right of the pattern of "G" as shown in (b) of FIG. 5, the center 11e of the holding frame 11 is laterally shifted with respect to the center 31 of the tape path, and the center line 34e of the tape is It is oblique. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 5C, the holding frame 11 is moved on the center line 31 so that the center of the tape 34 in the width direction coincides with the line 31. Continued,
The holding frame 11 is suddenly moved to the left as shown in FIG. 5C so that the next sewing area 41 enters the frame of the through-hole 13 for passing through the needle. Then, the needle 5 is inserted into the needle drop hole 2. After a while, FIG.
The holding frame 11 is quickly moved back to the next sewing preparation position (d) (the repetition position in FIG. 5A).

In a series of these operations, in the state shown in FIG. 6A, the holding frame 11 is moved as shown in FIG.
The process ends at the needle drop 2 of “G” of the unit embroidery pattern 3. In order to speed up the next sewing, the holding frame 11 is immediately moved from the state shown in (b) of FIG. 6 where the "G" pattern has been sewn as described above to the state shown in (c) of FIG. Center of the movement trajectory of the holding frame 11 with respect to the center line 31 of the passage 30
11e is unevenly distributed as shown in FIG. 6 (b), and the line 34e intersects. When the holding frame 11 is rapidly returned toward the right side (supply point 32) as shown in FIG. As described above, as the holding frame 11 approaches the direction of the tape supply point 32, the oblique angle of the tape line 34e increases, and the deflected and curved portion 34c of the tape 34 (approaching the edge 14b of the tape guide 14) Part) sneaks into the corresponding tape guide 14b, wrinkles spread on a part of the sewing area 41 close to the corresponding tape guide 14b, and the sewing area 41 is positioned with respect to the through-hole 13 for needle insertion in the holding frame 11. It is shifted. Therefore, when the tape 34 which is displaced as it is is pressed and sewn by the tape pressing member 20, the embroidery pattern 3
To generate defective products.

Therefore, when the pattern "G" is sewn, the sewing process becomes unnecessary, but the holding frame 11
Is returned from the position (b) in FIG. 5 onto the center line 31 of the passage 30 of the tape 34, and the needle 5 is inserted into the needle drop hole 2 as shown in FIG.
Drop. In this manner, the tape 34 is immovably locked, and the holding frame 11 is quickly returned to the reel 32a based on the program, as shown in FIG. In this way, the relative movement of the tape 34 with respect to the holding frame 11 can be performed without requiring any human intervention. In this case, even when the thickness of the tape 34 is as thin as about 0.2 mm and the tape is weak, the tape 34 is not unevenly distributed between the two tape guides 14, and the center 11e of the holding frame 11 is a tape. Passage center line 31
Since it is at the top, it is correctly positioned without misalignment in a state of being spread with the pins in the width direction. In addition, the center of the holding frame 11 coincides with the center line 31 even if the tape 34 has a thickness (for example, about 0.8 mm) and slightly hits one side of the tape guide 14 when the tape 34 is slightly deviated to the side. When passing between the two tape guides 14, it passes. After the return as shown in FIG. 5A, the tape pressing member 20 is downwardly pressed by the program, and the needle 5 is pulled out.
The next unit embroidery pattern is sewn according to a predetermined program.
Thereafter, these steps are repeated, and the embroidery patterns are sewn over the entire area of the long tape cloth while leaving a gap between the unit embroidery patterns or continuously.

As described above, according to the present invention, when applying the embroidery patterns 3 one after another in the longitudinal direction of the tape 34, each unit embroidery pattern 3 is regulated by the holding frame 11 without lateral displacement and correct sewing is performed. The embroidery pattern 3 can be applied to the area 41 to be attached, and the tape 34 is used for sewing the next unit embroidery pattern 3.
When moving the holding frame 11 and the holding frame 11 relatively, even with a thin tape having a weak waist or a thick tape having a too strong waist, the tape can be easily rubbed between the opposed width regulating portions 16 of the holding frame 11. And the above-mentioned rub-through effect can be obtained even if the space between the reciprocating movement position of the holding frame 11 and the tape supply point 32 is short (close) to reduce the bulk. Has a positive effect.
