【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 記録材を挟持搬送してトナー画像を上記
記録材に定着する定着装置にして、少なくとも加熱ロー
ラ内に加熱源を備えた定着装置において、 定着装置が所定の高温状態であることを検知・表示する
注意喚起手段を備えることを特徴とする定着装置。

A fixing device for nipping and conveying a recording material to fix a toner image on the recording material, wherein the fixing device is provided with a heating source at least in a heating roller, wherein the fixing device is in a predetermined high temperature state. 【請求項2】 上記注意喚起手段が、ペルチェ効果によ
る熱電素子と当該熱電素子により駆動される表示器とを
備えてなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の定着装
置。

【請求項3】 上記注意喚起手段が、熱応答素子と当該
素子の状態を検知する回路と当該検知回路により駆動さ

【請求項4】 上記熱応答素子が、サーミスタ、熱電
対、熱センサーのいずれかであることを特徴とする請求
項3に記載の定着装置。
4. The fixing device according to claim 3, wherein the heat responsive element is one of a thermistor, a thermocouple, and a heat sensor.
【請求項5】 上記注意喚起手段を駆動する駆動源が加
熱ローラに備えられたことを特徴とする請求項3又は4
に記載の定着装置。
5. The heating roller according to claim 3, wherein a driving source for driving the warning unit is provided on the heating roller.

【請求項6】 上記請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載
された定着装置を有し、上記注意喚起手段によるメッセ
ージをその操作パネルに表示可能に構成された画像形成
装置。

た定着装置を有する画像形成装置において、 定着装置が所定の高温状態であることを検知する手段を
定着装置に備え、その検知結果を表示する表示手段を画
像形成装置に備えることを特徴とする画像形成装置。
