動ローラと中間転写ベルト従動ローラは、感光体ドラム
と中間転写ベルト間接触摩擦力よりも、中間転写ベルト
張力を大きくすることができるため、感光体ドラム周速
度変動による中間転写ドラム速度変動を低減できる多重
画像形成装置が得られ、転写位置ずれ、ひいては色ずれ
を低減した、画像劣化が無い高品位な画像を得ることが
できる。

Claims (3)

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】複数個の感光体と、前記感光体の各々に光
を照射し潜像を形成する露光手段と、前記感光体の各々
に形成された潜像を顕画化する複数の現像手段と、前記
現像手段で顕画化された像を転写ベルトへ転写する転写
手段と、前記転写ベルトを駆動する駆動ローラと、前記
転写ベルトによって従動回転される従動ローラとを有
し、前記感光体の各々に顕画化された像を転写材に順次
重ね合わせて合成像を形成する多重画像形成装置におい
て、前記従動ローラに摩擦負荷部材を設けたことを特徴
とする多重画像形成装置。
