Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with various needs of consumers and further to call novel needs by copying and producing jewelry with noble metals by diverting the etching type copper relief printing plate of photoengraving to the creation of the metal pattern (a male die) used by the lost wax casting method. SOLUTION: In the case of production, first of all, the original of design composed of pictures or characters to be formed on the surface of jewelry is prepared, this original is transferred onto a copper plate by photoengraving, and the copper relief printing plate is produced by an etching system. Next, working such as cutting is applied to this copper plate as a 'metal creating the surface design' corresponding to the shape of jewelry to be produced, and a metal pattern (male die) is produced. Continuously, a product is copied and produced from materials composed of noble metals (gold, silver and platinum) by lost wax casting while using this metal pattern. Thus, various kinds of high-quality jewelry can be speedily and inexpensively produced. Further, the design of handwriting of a consumer can be adopted as the design of jewelry as it is.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method of converting a corrosive copper letterpress original plate by photoengraving used for letterpress printing, foil stamping, etc., into a metal mold (male mold) for the lost wax casting method of jewelry. The present invention relates to a manufacturing method capable of greatly reducing the design process, labor and cost of jewelry surfaces, rapidly supplying goods, and lowering prices by newly combining technologies of industries.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, the design of the surface of a jewelry item has been worked one by one by a skilled technician, which requires a lot of time, patience, and high skill. The following methods were mainly used alone or in combination. (A) The wax used for the production of the prototype is formed using a cutter or an electric spatula. (B) A work cut out from a metal plate with a saw or the like is brazed to the main body. (C) Launched by forging techniques. (D) Carving by the technique of metalwork. In addition, there is a metal plate of a corrosive method using photolithography, which is directly processed and finished as a product main body. However, due to the nature of this technology, materials are limited to base metals.

As described above, in any case, the conventional method of forming a surface design of a jewelry item is performed by a manual operation of a technician who has acquired a high level of skill. It took a lot of money and time. In particular,
In order to faithfully imitate pictures and characters on the surface of jewelry by embossing, special techniques equivalent to seal production, which is somewhat different from art production, were required. As a result, there is a disadvantage that the product takes a long time to reach the consumer's hand and is very expensive. In addition, when the corrosive relief metal original plate by photolithography is processed as it is and finished as a product body,
Due to the nature of this technology, noble metals that do not easily undergo chemical change could not be handled, and the materials were limited to base metals. Therefore, although processing is quick and cheap, and unique effects can be obtained, only low value-added products that can not be called jewelry can be manufactured,
The product planning was just as good as it was.
In view of the above, ordinary consumers have tended to exclude the idea and situation of owning custom-made original jewelry from the options. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, and at the same time, to meet various needs of consumers and to newly urge them.

In order to achieve the above object, a corrosive copper letterpress original plate generated from a manuscript by photoengraving is regarded as a "metal having a surface design", and a jewelry lost wax casting method. Divert to metal prototype (male) production. Processing is quick, reliable and inexpensive, but it is one of the excellent methods of producing jewelry and photoengraving that cannot process precious metals. It is a typical technique for mass production, but it requires special artistic skills and labor for prototype production. It is only necessary to combine the required lost wax casting methods to make up for the respective problems.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS As described above, when the present invention is actually used, a new combination of the two techniques is performed. Prepare a manuscript of the design you want to form on the surface of jewelry, such as pictures and characters. It is transferred to a copper plate by photomechanical technology, and a copper relief master is manufactured by a corrosion method. This copper plate is used as a “metal having a surface design”, and cut and processed in accordance with the shape of the jewelry to be produced, thereby producing a metal prototype (male). Based on this, the lost wax casting method is used to duplicate and cast the product using precious metals (gold, silver, platinum). As a result, it is possible to provide various jewelry items that are comparable to conventional quality items more quickly and inexpensively. In addition, since the drawn thing can be used as it is for the design of the surface, the design manuscript, such as the picture or character of the consumer, may be accepted as it is as a jewelry design at a store or by mail.

With the introduction of the photomechanical technology, the molding of the surface design of the jewelry prototype, which has been the most difficult in the past, has been completed the day after the order. All subsequent processing is simple,
Now only basic things are needed. This has enabled a significant reduction in manufacturing steps, time and costs. The combination is novel, but both techniques are established today in highly competitive fields and are still common and have a long track record and reliability, so stable results, economic efficiency, and supply can be expected. By taking advantage of the old facilities, it is possible to immediately start the actual work without taking risks such as making a large capital investment for preparation. Since the letterpress printing original plate can be converted to the design of the original surface, any one that can be used as a letterpress printing original in the past can basically be used for jewelry design. Therefore, it is possible to provide jewelry based on free ideas that are not bound by tradition. In addition, it has become possible to easily and inexpensively form pictures, characters, and the like, which once required particularly high technology, in an embossed shape, and to provide consumers with new options for purchasing products. Because labor costs can be greatly reduced, it is possible to make custom-made and semi-custom-made services of jewelry, which were often shunned by the general consumer, and also to develop new users. Handwritten characters and illustrations of people without special artistic skills can easily be designed into jewelry, so it is necessary to have the pleasure of wearing individual ideas freely and to have such specialized skills conventionally The pleasure of participating in production, which was difficult in the field, can now be provided to ordinary consumers.
