Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy writing with writing implements on a surface to be transferred on which the direct writing with the general writing implements is not possible by using a pressure sensitive transfer tape specified in the white ray transmittance of a pressure sensitive transfer layer, transferring this pressure sensitive transfer layer to the body to be transferred and recording information to this transfer surface. SOLUTION: The surface of a base material 1 is provided with the pressure sensitive transfer layer 6 laminated, successively from the base material 1 side, with a release layer 2, a writing layer 3, a light shielding layer 4 and a pressure sensitive adhesive 5. The white ray transmittance of the pressure sensitive transfer layer 6 is 0.1 to 10%, more preferably 0.3 to 10%. The white ray transmittance of the pressure sensitive transfer layer 6 is the numerical value obtd. as a difference between the white ray transmittance, which is measured with a photometer using a tungsten lamp as a light source or a transmission densitometer relating to a transparent polyethylene terephthalate film of 100 μm in thickness transferred with the pressure sensitive transfer layer of the pressure sensitive transfer tape and the white ray transmittance of the polyethylene terephthalate film itself.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, using a commonly used writing instrument (for example, a pencil, a ballpoint pen, etc.), it is made of a photograph or a plastic film other than ordinary paper, or a material such as glass, ceramics, or metal. It was not possible to write directly on the surface of a printed or baked article. For this reason, a plain label is written and written, or a special holder is used and then written in the same holder, or a special film is pasted and written in a predetermined position of the film (Japanese Utility Model Application No. 9-489). I was In the case of (1) and (2), it is necessary to prepare a dedicated holder or film, which is expensive and requires a complicated process before writing. In the case of (1), although the cost is lower than that of (2), the predetermined label size is fixed, and not only the amount of writable information is greatly limited, but also it takes time and effort to attach the information to a predetermined position. In addition, release paper is required, and waste materials are likely to be scattered in many attaching operations.

Next, a method of manufacturing the pressure-sensitive transfer tape according to the present invention will be described. First, a release treatment is performed on the back surface of the base material (the surface opposite to the surface on which the pressure-sensitive transfer layer is provided). A release layer for facilitating release may be provided on the surface of the substrate on which the pressure-sensitive transfer layer is provided. Then, on the uncoated surface of the substrate or on the release layer, a colored or white writing layer with a coloring agent added,
Alternatively, a colorless writing layer to which no coloring agent is added is provided. Next, any one of a metal deposition layer, a metal powder-containing layer, and a colored or white pigment-containing layer is provided on the writing layer to form a light-shielding layer. Next, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is provided on the light-shielding layer in order to adhere to the transfer object. The release treatment of the back surface of the base material is a process for preventing the back surface of the base material and the surface of the adhesive layer that come into contact with each other in a wound state from being blocked.

In the recording method of the present invention, the pressure-sensitive transfer tape is superposed on the transfer-receiving surface as described above with its pressure-sensitive adhesive surface,
The pressure-sensitive transfer layer is transferred to the surface to be transferred by applying pressure by an appropriate means to adhere and then peeling the substrate. This transfer operation can be performed by superimposing a pressure-sensitive transfer tape on the surface to be transferred, and then extruding with a pressing tool such as a spatula. Further, the transfer can be performed using a hand-held transfer tool. If necessary, the above-described transfer operation is repeated to transfer the pressure-sensitive transfer layer to a desired area on the transfer surface.

With respect to the pressure-sensitive transfer tapes obtained in the above Examples and Comparative Examples, the white light transmittance of the pressure-sensitive transfer layer was measured using a photometer using a tungsten lamp as a light source. Next, each of the pressure-sensitive transfer tapes was cut into a strip having a width of 1 cm, and the pressure-sensitive transfer layer was coated on a black photographic mount (glossy paper).
And evaluated whether a blue transfer layer was visible. Further, a black pencil, a black oil-based ballpoint pen, and a fountain pen made of black ink were used to write on the blue transfer layer, and it was evaluated whether the written characters and symbols could be clearly read. Table 1 shows the results

As is clear from Table 1, when the pressure-sensitive transfer tape of each of the above Examples in which the white light transmittance of the pressure-sensitive transfer layer was in the range of 0.1 to 10% was transferred, a black photograph was taken. Even if it is transferred on the backing paper, the transfer layer can be visually recognized,
When the white light transmittance of Comparative Examples 1 and 2 exceeded 10%, it was confirmed that visual recognition was impossible. In addition, it was confirmed that burrs were generated at the time of transfer in the pressure-sensitive transfer tape having a white light transmittance of less than 0.1% (Comparative Example 3). Further, the blue transparent writing layer used in the examples is excellent in writability, and it is possible to write characters and symbols neatly with a pencil or a ballpoint pen and a fountain pen on the transferred blue transparent writing layer, and to write written characters. And symbols were clearly legible. On the other hand, when the white light transmittance of Comparative Examples 1 and 2 was written on the transfer layer exceeding 10%, the written characters and symbols could not be read due to the influence of the base.

According to the recording method of the present invention, a pressure-sensitive transfer layer of a pressure-sensitive transfer tape is transferred onto a transfer-receiving surface which cannot be directly written with a general writing instrument such as a pencil or a ball-point pen, and a general transfer method is applied thereon. Therefore, writing can be easily performed on the transfer surface as described above with a general writing instrument.

Furthermore, the transferred pressure-sensitive transfer layer reliably shields the reflected light from the transfer surface, so that the transfer object is not only white paper or a colorless film, but also colored paper containing black or dark color, or a colored film. Information written on a transfer layer transferred to a photo, a printed surface, a painted surface, or the like can be clearly read.
