Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system which can be placed in a predetermined position without damaging a treatment instrument and which facilitates the operation of an endoscope and the endoscopic operation of the treatment instrument. SOLUTION: In an endoscope system, a wire channel 24 formed at an end portion is formed up to the control part 5 of an endoscope and the rear end portion of a transmission wire 4 passed into the wire channel 24 is secured to the freely rotating shank 51a of a rotary operation wheel 51 serving as an operation means for generating an operating force for operating the treatment means of an endoscope module provided within the control part 5. The rotary operation wheel 51 is provided with a fixed knob 51b serving as a lock mechanism capable of setting the operating condition of the wheel selectively to a fixed condition or open condition. Thus, by rotating the rotary operation wheel 51, the transmission wire 4 is moved back and forth and the fixed knob 51b is operated to fix the transmission wire 4 in the desired position to maintain the operating condition.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, by inserting an elongated insertion portion into a body cavity, an organ or the like in the body cavity can be observed, and if necessary, a treatment device (also referred to as a treatment tool) inserted into a treatment channel. Medical endoscopes capable of performing various types of treatments using a medical device are widely used.

[0003] For example, in an endoscope which is orally inserted to treat a digestive organ in a body cavity, a lumen called an endoscope treatment channel provided inside the endoscope is provided.
The treatment is being performed by inserting treatment equipment. The treatment instrument channel of the endoscope is an elongated lumen having a diameter of about 3 mm and a length of about 2 m. Therefore, the treatment instrument channel is elongated so that a treatment instrument can be inserted into the elongated treatment channel. It has a structure. For this reason, when inserting this slender treatment equipment into the treatment channel of the endoscope,
The clinician had to be very careful to insert the procedural equipment into the procedural channel because of the risk of breakage.

[0004] Conventionally, when performing endoscopic procedures, the endoscope and the treatment equipment are independent of each other, so that a medical technician can use both the endoscope and the treatment equipment. Skillful operation techniques were required, such as complicated operations using both hands, and operations performed by several persons, including an attendant, with predetermined roles.

Further, after the treatment, it is necessary to perform post-treatment such as washing and disinfection of the treatment equipment, and the work of washing and disinfecting the elongated treatment equipment without damaging it has been troublesome. . In addition, a large storage space is required to store and manage the equipment for treatment after washing.

For example, Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication (Kokai) No. 64-80335 discloses that in order to prevent damage during insertion of the treatment tool, a member having an appropriate elasticity is used for treatment equipment or the tip shape is made smooth. This shows an endoscope that improves the insertability.

In the case of performing a treatment endoscopically, the operation section of the treatment equipment is connected and fixed to the endoscope operation section in order to facilitate the operation of the endoscope and the treatment equipment. There was something like that.

However, as shown in the above-mentioned Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 64-80335, improving the material and making the shape curved does not solve the fundamental problem. When inserting the equipment into the endoscope, it was necessary to insert the elongated treatment equipment into the treatment channel of the endoscope with great care in order to prevent the treatment equipment from being damaged. . In addition, a skilled operating technique is required to operate the endoscope and the treatment tool simultaneously. In addition, a large space was required for storage management.
