Abstract

The article is a rhythm-generating toothbrush that renders the movement of the toothbrush audible. Research on the brushing action of dental hygienists has revealed that each individual has a unique rhythm in the toothbrushing action. In order to correctly and efficiently remove the plaque adhering to the tooth surface with a toothbrush, it is important to apply the toothbrush correctly to the tooth surface and move it rhythmically. By recognizing the movement of the toothbrush by sound, the patient becomes aware of his or her own movement and learns the correct rhythm, making it possible to improve the patient's brushing technique. As for the structure of this product, a cavity is provided in the handle portion of the toothbrush, and a somewhat heavy spherical piece with a diameter of about 6 mm is placed inside. By reciprocating the toothbrush, the balls move inside the cavity and make a "clattering" sound. A transparent cover is fitted to the handle in which the ball piece is inserted, and the cover is sealed so as not to come off and prevent water from entering the cavity. The toothbrush part is replaceable.
