Abstract
[Problem] The present invention relates to combustion wicks which are used in wick-up-down-movement-type tank kerosene stoves and relates to a wick of a kerosene stove, which can prevent deformation in fabric of a wick portion, that is, a kerosene suction portion in a lower half part of the wick, which may occur when the wick is moved up or down at the time of lighting, combustion, and fire extinguishing. The present invention changes the shapes of longitudinally elongated hole portions, which are formed in the suction portion of the wick, from a vertically elongated hole-like shape to an obliquely elongated hole-like shape, so that the suction portion in its entirety falls orderly in a given direction along a wick guide tube and is placed in the bottom of a kerosene supply chamber at the time fire extinguishing including emergency fire extinguishing, which prevents wick fabric of the suction portion from lapping or the suction portion from being shaped like a Japanese lantern at the time of relighting and makes it possible to achieve stable continuous combustion and a longer combustion time.
