DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
According to the model conceived, an automatic mechanical device is created by means of which, according to a preordained sequence of operations, the suspension hooks of the pictures are fixed to the rear bottom made of hardboard or other, as well as to the frames of the pictures themselves. hooks to be fixed to the switchboards come from a vertical feeder under the support surface of the switchboard being processed, while the two feeders of the fixing staples are arranged on the horizontal plane, aligned and one opposite to the other, on the two sides of the operating area in so that the two staples used for fixing the hook are always kept ready in position to be pushed and driven into the hardboard by a tool or other to hold the suspension hook of the switchboard. -The mechanical device of the model in question is also used to fix the suspension hooks to the wooden comics, with the difference that the staples are simply stuck in the wood, without to undergo any riveting.
In the joined table of photographs and drawings, Figure 1 shows the mechanical device in question as a whole; fig.2 shows the operating area where the hooks are fastened; Fig. 3 shows a suspension hook applied to a base, for example of hardboard; Fig. 4 shows in an overturned view, according to the y direction of Fig. 3, how the ends of the staples that pierce and go beyond the thickness of the hardboard panel are riveted; Fig. 5 schematically shows how the staples are guided to remain in the correct position. - IN DETAIL - As shown in fig. 1, the device conceived consists of a surface 1 on which the frame or the hardboard panel being worked rests; a base fairing 2 in which an instrument and a maneuvering knob are arranged; a pneumatic actuator 3 which takes the suspension hooks 4 one at a time (Fig. 2) and brings them to the operative area under the product being processed; two opposing feeders 5 which keep the staple packs 6 pushed into position which two by two are inserted into the frame or the bottom panel of the switchboard by a suitable tool which, pushed from below upwards, fixes the staples over the horizontal sections 7 of each hook 4 (fig. 3); a vertical pneumatic piston 8 which blocks the product to counteract the penetration of the staples; a horizontal bar 9 equipped with two cursors 10 sliding simultaneously but in opposite directions, to self-center the product before applying the hook; a vertical feeder which keeps the pack of hooks 4 pushed upwards. The sequence of operations is as follows: the vertical piston 8 blocks the product on the plane 1 after its self-centering by the sliders 10; the actuator 3 pushes the hook into the right position; the tool vertically pushes the staples that stick into the frame or panel, holding the hook 4 in the desired position; the piston 8 rises and the product is ready for its use. -When the hooks 4 have to be applied to a hardboard or other panel (fig. 3), the staples 6 go beyond the thickness of the panel and therefore must be properly riveted. cylinder 11 in contact with hardboard 12 so as to spread the staple 6 as in fig. 4, before the final action by means of the grooved tool 13 which rivets the ends of the staples so as not to emerge from the surface of the panel. -The fixing of the suspension hooks thus performed allows the hook itself to rotate and tip inwards, as indicated by the arrows x in fig. 3. -To ensure that the staples 6 are always kept in the correct position, each packet is guided as shown in fig. 5 where it can be seen how they are inserted upside down in the lip of an “L” profile 14 of the right thickness. -From what has been described and illustrated, the novelty and usefulness of the device conceived are evident, especially for the possibility of applying the suspension hooks to the bottom panels made of hardboard or other, providing for completely re-affixing the ends of the fastening staples so that do not in the least emerge from the surface of the panel itself.
