Materiale di rivestimento per superfici impermeabilizzanti e metodo per il rivestimento di superfici impermeabilizzanti Coating material for waterproofing surfaces and method for coating waterproofing surfaces
DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
The invention concerns a coating material for waterproofing surfaces and a method for coating waterproofing surfaces.
Arte Nota Note Art
In the construction sector, the surface waterproofing of roofs, such as roofs of buildings and the like, is currently obtained by means of bituminous membranes,, PVC, PP, with the possible combination of sheet metal (smooth or corrugated or worked in another way, for example eg corrugated) or plastic or glassy material, glass, (eg skylights, portholes, windows), just to name a few.
The aforesaid coatings, and in particular the bituminous-based coating material, usually have a single-color and aesthetically unpleasant visible face.
These characteristics therefore limit the use of these materials, in situations where the aesthetic aspect, in particular the coloring, cannot be neglected, for example having to respect a precise architectural rule.
In the past, therefore, bituminous membranes have been developed with an external surface that can be colored and / or printed during manufacturing, to give the visible surface a pleasant aesthetic appearance or in any case suitable for fitting into specific architectural contexts.
Document IT-1301739 refers, for example, to a stratified sheet material for waterproofing, comprising a layer of covering material, a layer formed by a bituminous sheath and an intermediate layer of material able to favor the coupling between the said layer of coating material and said bituminous sheath. The coating material layer can be made up of a plastic material or a textile material, which can be added with colored pigments to give the product the desired color.
However, the need is felt in the sector to attribute adequate aesthetic and / or reflectivity properties to existing waterproofing surfaces, that is, already installed and lacking these properties or which have lost them due to wear and tear. time. This need is currently met by replacing the waterproofing material with another one with a suitable aesthetic aspect.
However, this replacement is laborious and above all onerous and often not justified, in particular when the material to be removed still has good waterproofing properties.
Equally felt is the need to attribute the same characteristics to materials, for example bituminous membranes, currently marketed and which do not have these characteristics, even before their installation. The problem of how to attribute adequate aesthetic and / or reflectivity properties to existing waterproofing surfaces, while possibly also determining an improvement in the waterproofing properties of the material, remains empirically solved today, for example with the use of paints or similar, spread on the visible surface of the surfaces whose appearance is to be improved.
The main purpose of the invention is therefore to solve the aforementioned problem by providing a coating material for waterproofing surfaces, which allows to attribute to their visible surface adequate reflectance characteristics and possibly a pleasant appearance and which has strong resistance properties. to atmospheric agents, once applied.
Another object of the invention is to provide a material of the aforesaid type, which can be obtained economically, so as to be industrially produced at advantageous costs.
A further object of the invention is to provide a method for the coating of waterproofing surfaces, which allows to give the coating material for waterproofing surfaces the desired characteristics, for example of reflectance, antismog, etc ... and the ™ desired aesthetic appearance.
Descrizione dell’Invenzione Description of the Invention
The invention achieves these purposes by means of a bituminous membrane and a method as claimed in the attached claims.
Ulteriori vantaggiose caratteristiche dell’invenzione formano oggetto delle rivendicazioni dipendenti. Further advantageous characteristics of the invention form the subject of the dependent claims.
Thanks to the coating material according to the invention, it is advantageously possible to obtain waterproof surfaces with high aesthetic characteristics, without compromising the waterproofing characteristics of the underlying membrane.

Referring to Figure 2, according to a further embodiment of the coating material according to the invention, between the layers 11 and 12 there is a layer 13 interposed with dimensional stabilizing properties consisting of a fiberglass mesh, in polyester (PET), polypropylene (PP), or other textile and / or plastic materials. Said layer 13 can be advantageously incorporated into the acrylic resin layer 12, as in the example schematically illustrated.
The application of the layer 12 is preferably carried out by direct spreading on the material constituting the layer 11 or 13 and subsequent drying in a controlled environment.
With reference to Figure 3, a particular embodiment of the material according to the invention is illustrated, in which a layer 14 is also provided consisting of adhesive, preferably of the type used for the recovery or repair of waterproofing membranes, for example hot melt. The layer 14 is superimposed on the face of the layer 11, opposite to that covered with the layer 12 and / or 13.
The eventual application of the adhesive layer 14 can be carried out simultaneously or separately with respect to the application phases of the layers 12 and 13.
A layer 15 of siliconized film is provided to protect the layer 14 before applying the covering material to the waterproofing surface.
The material thus obtained is a layered composite material, it is flexible in the form of sheet or tape or squares and is advantageously applicable to different surfaces such as, for example, bituminous membranes, polyethylene, sheet metal. Always according to the invention, it is possible to make the material in any shape and size, for example also in the form of strips of reduced width for repairs or as a joint element, for example. c.a. 100 mm.
Referring now to Figure 4, a plant 31 is schematically illustrated for the realization of the layered composite material according to the third embodiment of the invention.
In the plant 31 the support material 11 is unwound from a roll 32 and preferably arranged horizontally. On the horizontal support layer 11 there is the net material 13 which is unwound in turn from a corresponding roll 33. A spreading station 34 of the acrylic resin layer 12 is provided downstream of the convergence zone of the layers 11 and 13 so as to impregnate the mesh 13 and cover a first face of the layer 11. The other face of the layer 11, that is the one not covered with the resin layer 12, is always covered by spreading in a station 35 by one layer of adhesive 14. A station 37 located downstream of the coating station 35 is provided for the drying of the resin and the adhesive and for this reason it is crossed by the layered composite material so that drying can be obtained on both faces of the layered material. The dried layer 14 is subsequently covered with a layer of siliconized protective film 15 unwound from a roll 36. Downstream of the joining area of the film 15 there is a collection station 38 in which the coating material is collected in a roll. . Although the implant 31 has been described with reference to the third embodiment of the material according to the invention, it will nevertheless be possible to obtain with simple modifications from the same implant also the materials of the first and second embodiment.
The layered composite material thus obtained can be advantageously applied to a waterproofing material, in particular a bituminous sheath. Preferably, the waterproofed sheath is previously cleaned and / or washed, then the film 15 is removed from the layered material to expose the layer of adhesive 14. At this point the material can be advantageously applied and made to adhere to the surface to be coated, in in particular a bituminous sheath, in order to give the latter the desired aspect.
In a variant embodiment of the invention, between the layer 11 and the adhesive layer 14 it is possible to optionally provide a film of plastic material or polyethylene or polypropylene to prevent the migration of the bituminous mixture towards the layer 11, once the lining material was applied. This film is indicated with the reference 17 in Figure 4, but it could also be present in the other embodiments described. This film can be adhered to the layer 11 by means of an adhesive dried in station 37 during processing.
