Correspondingly, the side elements 9a, 9b each comprise one or more through holes 23a, 23b, also vertically aligned (two on each side in the example illustrated), said through holes being able to be superimposed on said slots for the passage of fixing means 21a, 21b, such as for example screws, rivets or the like. Advantageously, the presence of the slots 19a, 19b allows the lateral elements 9a, 9b to be moved apart or brought closer together, according to the dimensions of the hob to which the protection device is applied. In this way, the distance between said lateral elements 9a, 9b can be adapted to the dimensions of the cooking hob 10 so that they touch the hob 10, as described above.

Claims

CLAIMS 1. Protection device (1) for protecting access to a cooking hob (10) comprising - a pair of support brackets (3a, 3b), adapted to be fixed to a base (14); - a frame (5) including a screen (9), consisting of a front wall (9c) and a pair of lateral elements (9a, 9b), and a pair of lateral rods (11a, 11b) each integral with an element opposite side (9a, 9b) of said screen (9) at a first end and rotatably connected to said support brackets (3a, 3b) by means of pins (7a, 7b) at the opposite end; characterized in that said pins are located at a distance from the base of said support brackets (3a, 3b) substantially equal to half the height of said front wall (9c) of said screen (9).

2. Protection device (1) according to claim 1, wherein said frame (5) can rotate around said pins (7a, 7b) by an angle substantially equal to 180 °.

Protection device (1) according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said front wall (9c) and said side elements (9a, 9b) of said screen are made in a single piece.

4. Protection device (1) according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said lateral elements (9a, 9b) of said screen are made in the shape of an "L", each having an arm fixed to said front wall (9c) of said screen and the other arm integral with the end of a corresponding lateral rod (11a, 11b).

Protection device (1) according to claim 4, wherein said front wall (9c) comprises, on each side, one or more slots (19a, 19b) longitudinal with respect to said front wall (9c) parallel to each other and aligned vertically and correspondingly said lateral elements (9a, 9b) each comprise one or more through holes (23a, 23b) vertically aligned, said through holes being able to be superimposed on said slots for the passage of fixing means (21a, 21b), such as for example screws, rivets or the like, for fixing said lateral elements to said front wall.

6. Protection device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein said front wall (9c) of said screen (9) comprises at the top a folded edge (13a) provided with a gasket (15a), for example in rubber or similar material.

Protection device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein said front wall (9c) of said screen (9) comprises at the bottom a folded edge (13b) provided with a gasket (15b), for example in rubber or similar material.

Protection device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein said front wall (9c) of said screen (9) comprises a handle at the top.

Protective device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein said frame is made of a material with high thermal conductivity.

Protective device (1) according to claim 9, wherein said frame is made of metal or of a metal alloy, for example of aluminum.

11. Protection device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 10, further comprising a safety clip (17) in the shape of a 'C' made of elastic material and adapted to block the base of said front wall (9c) of said shield (9) against said base (14).

Hob (10), inserted in a base (14) and comprising a plurality of burners (12), characterized in that it comprises a protection device according to any one of claims 1 to 11.

Cooking hob (10) according to claim 12, in which said support brackets (3a, 3b) are fixed to said base (14) in which said hob (10) is inserted, in correspondence with a pair of opposite sides (10b, 10d) of said hob (10).

Cooking hob (10) according to claim 13, wherein said frame (5) can rotate around said pins (7a, 7b) by an angle substantially equal to 180 °, so that it is possible to bring said screen (9) from a first position in which said front wall (9c) rests on said base (14) externally to said cooking hob (10) substantially parallel to a first side (10a) of said cooking hob comprised between said pair of opposite sides (10b , 10d) to a second position in which said front wall (9c) rests on said base (14) externally to said cooking hob (10) substantially parallel to a second side (10c) of said cooking hob comprised between said pair of opposite sides (10b, 10d) and opposite to said first side (10a).

Cooking hob (10) according to any one of claims 12 to 14, wherein said support brackets (3a, 3b) are fixed to said base (14) substantially in correspondence with the center line of said pair of opposite sides (10b, 10d) of said cooking hob and the overall size of each side rod (11a, 11b) and of the corresponding side element (9a, 9b) of said screen (9) is slightly greater than half the length of said opposite sides (10b, 10d) of said cooking hob.

Cooking hob (10) according to claim 13, wherein the distance between said side elements (9a, 9b) of said screen is substantially equal to the distance between said opposite sides (10b, 10d) of said cooking hob (10 ), so that said lateral elements touch said hob.
