Abstract

La presente invenzione riguarda un dispositivo adattatore per il collegamento elettrico fra una spina ed .una presa con diverso numero di poli.. L'invenzione è stata sviluppata in modo specifico per realizzare il collegamento elettrico fra una spina ed una presa di tipo conforme alle specifiche tecniche della normativa ISO 11446 1993. Il documento EP-A-0249181 descrive una spina del tipo conforme alla suddetta normativa ISO. Questa spina comprende un involucro esterno, un corpo porta contatti ed una porzione di connessione a baionetta per la connessione della spina ad una presa. Con riferimento alle figure, con 10 è indicato un dispositivo adattatore atto a stabilire la connessione elettrica fra una spina ed una presa (entrambe non illustrate). Il dispositivo adattatore 10 comprende un involucro esterno 12 di materiale plastico stampato ad iniezione, preferibilmente costituito da un elemento monolitico in cui è prevista una porzione di attacco a baionetta 14 ed un supporto 16 formante una base d'appoggio per un coperchio (non illustrato) della presa quando l'adattatore è innestato in una presa del tipo conforme alla normativa ISO 11446-1993. L'involucro 12 ha una cavità interna 18 nella quale viene inserito e bloccato assialmente un corpo portacontatti 20. L'involucro 12 è libero di ruotare rispetto al corpo portacontatti 20 fra una posizione di innesto con la presa ed una posizione di bloccaggio. Il modo in cui il corpo portacontatti 20 è collegato all'involucro 12 con possibilità di rotazione relativa fra una posizione di inserimento ed una posizione di bloccaggio è descritto dettagliatamente nella domanda di brevetto italiana n. T099A000340 della stessa Richiedente. Come è descritto in dettaglio in tale domanda di brevetto, il corpo portacontatti 20 presenta sulla sua superficie esterna una scanalatura anulare 22 con un'ampiezza angolare pari alla corsa angolare di rotazione relativa fra l'involucro 12 ed il corpo portacontatti 20. La scanalatura anulare 22 è impegnata da un dente radiale 24 sporgente dalla superficie interna della cavità 18 dell'involucro 12. Il dente radiale 24 si inserisce nella scanalatura anulare 22 attraverso una scanalatura assiale 25 che comunica con la scanalatura anulare 22 tramite un gradino 27 destinato ad essere scavalcato dal dente radiale 24. Ciascun contatto 26 della prima serie è collegato elettricamente ad un corrispondente contatto 28 della seconda serie tramite le piste conduttrici 30 della piastra a circuito stampato 24. Conseguentemente, la lunghezza dell'intero dispositivo adattatore 10 risulta estremamente contenuta rispetto a dispositivi di tipo noto, il che è particolarmente apprezzato in vista del fatto che nella maggioranza dei casi il dispositivo adattatore in questione è destinato a stabilire una connessione elettrica fra una presa fissata nella parte posteriore di un veicolo trainante ed una spina portata da un rimorchio. Quando la spina e la presa hanno un diverso numero di poli, si utilizza infatti un dispositivo adattatore del tipo precedentemente descritto e tale adattatore viene frequentemente connesso in modo permanente alla presa, anche quando non viene collegato il rimorchio al veicolo. 2. Adapter device according to claim 1, characterized in that the contacts (26, 28) of the first and second series and the printed circuit board (24) form a pre-assembled contact group (22) on which material is co-molded by injection plastic so as to form a contact holder body (20).

3. Adapter device according to claim 1, characterized in that the contact holder body (20) is rotatable with respect to the outer casing (12) between an insertion position in a socket and a locking position with respect to the socket.

Adapter device according to claim 1, characterized in that the contacts (26, 28) have respective pin protrusions (34) which are inserted and riveted into respective holes (32) of the printed circuit board (24) to establish the mechanical connection of the contacts (26, 38} with respect to the plate (24) and the electrical connection of the contacts (26, 28) with respect to the conductive tracks (30) of the printed circuit board (24).
