Description
MATERIALE CARTACEO AUTOPORTANTE PLASMABILE MOLDABLE SELF-SUPPORTING PAPER MATERIAL
The subject of the present invention is a self-supporting and malleable paper material, two-component that can be easily produced and can also be used for lighting fixtures or furnishing components.
The particular internal structure makes it a self-supporting material, aesthetically similar to paper or with visible mesh and with a higher resistance than paper.
The paper currently existing is made up of cellulose pulp or other fibers, which is passed through a sieve and then, removed from the sieve itself, pressed and left to dry. The quantity and quality of the pulp, the pressing and drying determine the mechanical characteristics of the material.
The paper used for lighting fixtures is often handcrafted paper, mounted on an internal load-bearing skeleton, delicate and easy to break.
These problems are often aggravated by the fact that, in order to have a good product, considerable manpower is required
Altro problema rilevante é dato dall' elevata igrospicità della carta che ne provoca deformazioni plastiche . Another relevant problem is given by the high hygrospicity of the paper which causes plastic deformations.
These and other objects, which will appear evident to an expert in the art, are achieved by a material according to the main claim.
In the example of a first embodiment of the invention there is any type of fiber pulp for paper formation. Said pulp is poured on any net suitable to be used, both as a filter and as a support. The type of material, the thickness of the thread and the quantity of threads per square centimeter determine the mechanical characteristics. Once the pulp has been poured, the net itself is used as a filter and immediately placed on a smooth surface to dry it. If desired, it is always possible to press together with the net. In this way, a self-supporting material has been created, no special filters have to be used, production becomes very fast and there are no shrinkages or wrinkles during drying. Once dried, an easily moldable and self-releasing material is obtained, particularly suitable for use in the lighting field or as a wall for furnishing components. Finally, we want to reiterate that the embodiment illustrated up to now has been provided purely by way of example and that numerous variants are provided, all falling within the same inventive concept, so for example it is possible to prepare this type of material by filtering the pulp through a filter, after the desired layer of pulp has been deposited, the net is immersed in it and poured over other pulp. Once the pressing and drying operation is completed, a paper material is obtained with the net inside. In this way the surface reticular effect is eliminated and the same advantages described above are obtained.
Lo spessore del filo costituente la rete e la quantità di fili a centimetro quadrato determinano le caratteristiche strutturali del materiale Conveniently, the use of nets with different thicknesses and materials is also envisaged according to the use and the desired aesthetics, so for example the use of oxidizable metal nets is foreseen in order to obtain a coloring reaction, given by oxidation of the metal inside the card. The thickness of the thread making up the net and the quantity of threads per square centimeter determine the structural characteristics of the material
