Recupero del gesso utilizzato per modelli, articolatori, muffole.
Di regola, il gesso arriva nei laboratori sottoforma di polvere che viene successivamente miscelato con acqua per diventare, in ultimo, un materiale duro e quindi adatto per compiere varie tipologie di lavori in campo dentale (modelli, muffole, articolatori, monconi ecc...).
Invece di buttare, a lavoro finito, i modelli di gesso nei rifiuti, li raccolgo per riutilizzarlo.
La mia idea è stata quella di riutilizzare il gesso indurito riportandolo allo stato di polvere. Una volta compiuta questa operazione, il gesso se viene rimiscelato con acqua non ridiventa duro come prima perché ha già tutte le particelle d’acqua che gli servirebbero per raggiungere lo stato solido. Per togliere l’acqua in eccesso bisogna scaldare il modello di gesso in un forno da laboratorio da temperatura ambiente a massimo 180 gradi centigradi circa. Una volta che la polvere si è raffreddata, si può di nuovo miscelare la polvere di gesso con acqua e alcuni additivi (borati, acetati, citrati e tartrati), per poi ottenere un materiale duro utilizzabile in vari settori.

  1. Rivendicazioni 1. Procedimento per riutilizzare gessi dentali che comprende: • Temperatura di 180° centigradi, non superiore • 30 minuti di cottura • Gradi al minuto: 15° centigradi • Acqua naturale • Additivi: borace anidro
