“TUTORE MOBILE E METODO PER SOSTENERE E GESTIRE “MOBILE GUARDIAN AND METHOD TO SUPPORT AND MANAGE
UNO O PIÙ TRALCI NELLA COLTIVAZIONE DI SPECIE VEGETALI ” ONE OR MORE VEGETABLES IN THE CULTIVATION OF VEGETABLE SPECIES "
SETTORE TECNICO DELL’INVENZIONE TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to a device to be used in the cultivation of plant species capable of supporting and managing one or more shoots, modifying their position according to the alternation of the seasons during the year, to protect them from atmospheric agents in cold seasons and allow its managed and guided growth in the warm seasons.
STATO DELLA TECNICA ANTERIORE STATE OF THE PRIOR ART
[002] The cultivation of plant species sensitive to low temperatures involves the use of procedures aimed at preserving the productive integrity of the plantation. This includes plantations, for example vineyards, made in countries with cold winters or in areas at high altitudes.
[003] The procedure provides for the growth of one or more shoots which are grown both together with the main stem and themselves as main shoots in the absence of a main stem; these shoots, in cold periods are buried in order to be protected from the harsh temperatures and then either be ready to replace said main stem in case the latter is compromised by bad weather conditions, or alternatively to germinate again in the hot season in case of which are all main shoots. This technique can be implemented for a period that generally ranges from one to five years depending on the plant species, that is, until the woodiness assumed by the shoots can lead to the breakage of the shoots themselves during the bending operations.
[004] Currently, in the warm months, the shoots are fixed analogously to the main stem to support structures composed of vertical poles that support horizontal wires. Near the cold season the shoots are released from the horizontal support wires or from the current support stakes, resting on the ground so as to be as parallel as possible to the course of the row and covered with backfill thanks to the action of a plow towed by an operating machine.
The working with the plow, in carrying out the procedures according to the known technique, must necessarily take place on both sides of the row to ensure adequate coverage of said shoots and generally may require the intervention of workers to keep the position of the shoots fixed during the covering that takes place with the help of metal forks that are planted in the ground astride the shoots themselves.
[005] At the end of the cold season, the shoots must be brought back to their initial position and secured to the horizontal bearing wire with the possible help of the current support braces to which the shoots are tied.
The restoration procedure, according to the known technique, requires the removal of the earth previously reported, through the use of a plow that brings the earth back into the furrows dug in the burial phase and the subsequent passage with blowers or manual tools to remove the part. of land closest to the shoots which, for reasons of safeguarding the shoots themselves, cannot be removed with the plow.
The procedure is completed manually with the removal of the residual earth, the metal forks and the attachment of the shoots to a horizontal bearing wire by tying them to the relative support braces.
SINTESI DELL’INVENZIONE SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[006] The purpose of the invention described below is to propose a mobile stake to support and manage the growth of one or more shoots of a vegetable crop, in order to facilitate and speed up the operations necessary for winter burial and restoration at the end of the cold season. The invention is particularly suitable for use in vineyards.
[007] The mobile support brace for the shoots facilitates the growth of the shoots, which are firmly fixed to them, and prevents the shoots from being damaged during the mechanized operations aimed at their burial and subsequent extraction, without the need to untie and free the shoots themselves from the current stakes or from the horizontal wires, to place the shoots horizontally on the ground.
[008] This object is achieved with the mobile brace whose characteristics are defined in the claims which conclude the present description.

DESCRIZIONE DETTAGLIATA DELL’INVENZIONE DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0010] An embodiment of a mobile stake 1 for supporting and managing the shoots 9 of a vegetable cultivation, such as a vineyard or the like, is shown in the perspective view of Fig. 1.
The mobile brace 1 according to the invention consists of an elastically or mechanically deformable element, preferably made of steel, which has a straight elongated body 2 and shaped ends 3 and 4.
The deformable element is preferably a rod or a metal wire with elastic behavior; of course it can also consist entirely of a totally flexible element of metal or fiber composite material.
[0011] A first end 3 of the mobile brace 1 is shaped like a hook G to engage on a horizontal wire 11 carrying the vegetation and preferably ends with a harpoon 5 capable of being sunk into the ground to prevent lateral displacements of the movable brace 1 with respect to to the longitudinal direction of the row. A second end 4 is optionally formed in such a way as to increase the deformability of the brace, for example as a spiral or ribbon spring 6, adapted to allow the elastic rotation of the movable brace 1 between the two positions, respectively, of attachment to the wire or of burying.
A variant which allows the same purpose to be achieved is represented by a brace consisting of two articulated parts, for example connected by means of a hinge, rings or eyelets.
Said second end 4 ends with a harpoon 7 which ensures a stable anchoring to the ground of the mobile brace 1; the harpoon 7 is preferably bent at an angle so as to oppose a moment resistant to the forces which, during the burying operations, could rotate the mobile brace 1 with respect to the longitudinal direction of the row.
[0012] The mobile stake 1 is installed near the base of the stem of a plant, in particular of a vine plant 8, as shown in Figs. 2-5, driving the harpoon 7 into the ground. The shoots 9 are secured to the elongated rectilinear body 2 of said mobile brace 1 by known means, such as for example ties 10.
[0013] Depending on the plant species, cultivation can foresee the growth of several shoots. In this case, in proximity to the base of the main stem 8, more mobile supports 1 are installed, or the cultivation can provide for the growth and management of the shoots only starting from the grafting of the plant.
[0014] In the hot period, the mobile brace 1 engages with the harpoon 5 on said horizontal bearing wire 11 (Fig.2) in order to keep the shoots 9 raised from the ground and in a position suitable for their growth.
The mobile stake 1 and the shoots 9 remain in this position until the winter period arrives.
[0015] The arrow A in Fig.3 shows the rotation made to the shoots 9 together with the mobile brace 1 during the burying operation, implemented when the cold period approaches.
During this operation, an employee releases the harpoon 5 from the horizontal bearing wire 11 and accompanies the shoots 9 bound to the mobile brace 1 until they reach the ground; the assistant concludes the operation by applying a thrust on the first free end 3 so that said harpoon 5 sticks into the ground.
The winter burying procedure ends with the intervention of an operating machine which, by operating a plow along the row, moves the earth so as to cover the shoots 9 tied to the mobile stake 1 (Fig. 3).
The use of the mobile brace 1 allows a more precise alignment of the shoots 9 by reducing the required width of the flowerbed created with the ground fill. Consequently, it is sufficient to create a small flowerbed to protect the shoots, reducing the time required for processing.
[0016] During the cold period, as shown in Fig.4, the shoots 9 are covered by a layer of earth. The shoots thus protected, in the event that the main shoot 8 is compromised by the harsh winter conditions, can be used to completely replace said main shoot or to contribute with their own buds to avoid production losses or in the case of only shoots they can survive to the harsh climate and re-budding the following season.
[0017] At the end of the cold period, the shoots 9 are extracted from the flowerbed and fixed to the horizontal bearing wire 11 in order to resume normal growth (Fig.5). Thanks to the presence of the mobile brace 1, the restoration procedures can be carried out in a simpler and faster way than those performed according to the prior art without having to re-tie the shoots to the current support braces.
After having moved the earth from the flowerbed by means of a plow, it is sufficient to carry out a single passage along the edge of the row with a blowing machine or with hand tools in order to remove only the part of the layer of earth that protected the shoots 9 and manually lift said shoots 9. In Fig. 5 the arrow B indicates the rotation performed by the mobile stake 1 and the shoots 9 so as to engage the first free end 3 of said mobile stake 1 on the horizontal bearing wire 11 .
[0018] Even in the case of the restoration operation, which brings the plant back to the initial conditions of Fig. 2, the use of a mobile brace 1 allows a safer execution of the restoration procedure and a reduction in the time required. In particular, the restoration operation does not require the use of any tool by the employees.
