La presente invenzione si colloca nell'ambito delle vasche da bagno e, in particolare, si riferisce ad un una struttura di vasca da bagno atta a sostituire una vasca preesistente. Come noto, le persone anziane o con disabilità, hanno difficoltà ad accedere e usare una comune vasca da bagno in quanto riescono con difficoltà ad accedervi oltre che a posizionarsi in posizione sdraiata sul fondo. Queste vasche hanno un gradino da superare all'ingresso. A bathtub structure adapted to be mounted in place of a pre-existing tub, said pre-existing tub comprising a perimeter support wall having a certain height, said tub structure comprising: - a bottom and a side support wall, said side support wall extending vertically starting from said bottom up to an upper edge at a height higher than said height so as to define a housing space able to accommodate at least one user and to contain water; - an opening formed on said lateral support wall which substantially extends from said bottom to said upper edge; - a door mounted in correspondence with said opening and able to pass from an open position, in which it allows access within said housing space, to a closed position in which it allows to fill said housing space with water; characterized in that said side wall has an external portion which extends beyond said upper edge turning downwards starting from said upper edge until it reaches said height of said support wall of said pre-existing tank, said external portion having one end which at least partially surrounds said tank and is adapted to rest on said support wall.

2. A bathtub structure, according to claim 1, wherein said lower end of said outer portion comprises an abutment portion which extends orthogonally with respect to said outer portion so as to define a support surface which rests stably on said perimeter support wall of said pre-existing tank.

3. A bathtub structure, according to claim 1, wherein said lower end of said outer portion comprises a lateral portion at said abutment portion adapted to ensure positioning and coupling on said perimeter support wall.

4. A bathtub structure, according to claim 1, in which a seat portion raised from said bottom is provided, adapted to allow said user to sit within said housing space.

5 A bathtub structure, according to claim 4, in which said seat portion comprises a projecting plane which extends transversely with respect to said side wall arranged at a certain height from said bottom.

6 A bathtub structure, according to claim 4, wherein said seating portion has the shape of a step and extends internally to said housing space starting from said side wall.

7. A bathtub structure, according to claim 1, in which said opening and said door extend for a height comprised between said upper edge and the bottom, which is substantially at the height of the ground.

A method of installing a bathtub structure adapted to be mounted in place of a pre-existing tub, said pre-existing tub comprising a perimeter support wall, said tub structure comprising: - a bottom and a side support wall, said side support wall extending in height starting from said bottom up to an upper edge so as to define a housing space able to receive at least one user and to contain water; - an opening formed on said lateral support wall which substantially extends from said bottom to said upper edge; - a door mounted in correspondence with said opening and able to pass from an open position, in which it allows access within said housing space, to a closed position in which it allows to fill said housing space with water; in which said side wall has an external portion which extends beyond said upper edge turning downwards starting from said upper edge for a determined height, said external portion having a lower end which at least partially surrounds said tub and is adapted to rest on said supporting wall, said method comprising the steps of: - removing said pre-existing tank so as to obtain a space of corresponding dimensions delimited by said perimeter support wall; - demolishing a portion of said supporting wall so as to obtain a passage, in correspondence with said opening, which extends for the entire height of said supporting wall; - arranging said bathtub structure in said space in such a way that: - said external portion of said side wall which at least partially surrounds said tank rests on said perimeter support wall; - said opening associated with said door is in correspondence with said passage.

10. A method for installing said tub structure, according to claim 9, in which said preparation step provides for a step of fixing said external portion along said perimeter support wall, in particular said fastening step provides for a gluing step and a stage of creating an estate.
