SUMMARY

It is a mattress with many small holes along the sides for the transpiration of the mattress itself. The holes are evenly distributed on the side walls so that, thanks to the movement of the person, there is always a change of air inside the mattress in order to avoid the stagnation of humidity.

DESCRIPTION

There are mattresses with two side holes which are however insufficient for a valid air exchange necessary to expel the humidity that has penetrated into the mattress for the transpiration of the human body. The steam caused by man condenses inside the mattress making it constantly humid.

The invention, object of the present patent, overcomes these drawbacks since it allows a continuous transpiration of the mattress avoiding the presence of humidity in any area inside it.

The invention consists of a mattress covered by two external sheets joined together by a lateral edge provided with a conspicuous series of small holes.

The mattress usually consists of a layer of felt that isolates the springs from the cotton or wool with which the mattress is made; the whole is then covered with two external sheets, upper and lower, which are connected together by a lateral band.

The side band of the new mattress is equipped with holes each with an eyelet that allow the continuous exchange of air inside the mattress.

The side band is made up of an external fabric, a layer of foam rubber and therefore an internal non-woven fabric; these three layers are pierced together in order to insert metal eyelets that allow the entry of ambient air and the exit of humid air.

In the case of a box-shaped mattress that is already equipped with foam rubber side walls, the side walls are drilled in correspondence with the holes in the external side cover.

The mattress with side holes on the entire perimeter allows to have a large and constant air circulation inside it in order to prevent the stagnation of humidity in any area. This happens thanks to the movements of the person moving on the mattress itself, creating continuous aspirations and expulsions of air. Furthermore, the mattress is more hygienic since the complete internal ventilation hinders the nesting of mites.

By way of non-limiting example, a practical embodiment of the invention is illustrated.

Figure 1 shows a mattress where you can see the springs (B), the spring cover felts (C), the state of wool (D) and the two upper and lower outer covers (E) joined together by the band. side (F) equipped with eyelets (G) for the breathability of the mattress itself.

Figure 2 shows in particular the lateral band (F) equipped with an external fabric (H), foam rubber (I) and an internal non-woven fabric (L), all perforated and fixed by an eyelet (G). These are the schematic modalities sufficient for the skilled person to realize the invention, consequently, in concrete application there may be variations without prejudice to the substance of the innovative concept.

Therefore, with reference to the preceding description and to the attached table, the following claims are expressed.

CLAIMS 1) Mattress characterized by the fact that the lateral band that connects the two outer sheets of the mattress is equipped with a series of small holes so that the movement of a person causes continuous variations in the internal volume of the mattress with consequent continuous air exchange. 2) Mattress as per the preceding claim characterized by the fact that its production and its marketing are understood to be protected by the present patent for industrial invention, all as described and illustrated.
