Abstract

It is a new bra that has cups made without central or transverse seams. The relief of the cup is obtained by thermo-deforming the lace or the various components. The bra can be of the type reinforced at the bottom or it can be without carry-over and top seam. The upper finishing is obtained by cutting and thermoforming the edge itself.

DESCRIPTION

The present invention relates to the field of women's underwear and in particular it concerns bras, bodices and tops. Currently the bras and the bra part of the bodices are equipped with cups whose cavity is obtained by sewing various parts of fabric, lace, etc.

The cups are generally made with a transverse seam that divides the cup in two and a further vertical seam in the lower part only. These cups require a particularly onerous processing such as cutting the various components according to the development of the cup and sewing the edges of the various components.

It should also be considered that the various seams are annoying for many women and with time and use they tend to weaken and come undone.

To obviate all the aforementioned drawbacks, a new type of bras, tops and bodices with seamless cups has been studied and produced. The new cups are made of a single piece of shaped fabric with no seams except for those of the edge necessary for joining the remaining parts of the underwear.

Each of the new cups is made from a single piece of material composed of either natural fibers or synthetic fibers or any percentage.

The shaping of the cup is achieved by thermal deformation with which the fibers of the fabric adapt to the desired conformation. The cup thus constituted, which can be devoid of the upper reinforcement seam, guarantees excellent support even without underwires or lower reinforcements.

For special needs it is possible to provide a double bottom reinforcement seam or the insertion in said bottom seam of a metal or plastic reinforcement.

It is also possible to provide a fixed internal padding, or a pocket suitable for accommodating a removable padding.

The fabric of which the new cups are made can be synthetic or at least partially synthetic; it can be opaque or in lace, or perforated according to the bra or bodice model to which it is applied.

The cup can be made of fabric or flounce in rigid or elasticized lace, in smooth, textured or embroidered fabrics, rigid or elasticized, in cotton or all other fibers in use. It can be transparent or opaque.

It is also possible to apply flounces or ruffles to the upper edge of the cups. It is also possible to provide such flounces and ruffles by abundantly cutting the upper edge and suitably thermodorming said edge.

The cut of the cup can be horizontal or oblique balcony with or without open straps in front or behind; bras can be of any model with fixed straps, mobile, low-cut, closed, etc.

The new type of cups for bras, made as described above, completely solves all the problems described at the beginning as it is not necessary to perform the central seams; furthermore, since the deformation of the cups takes place through molds, one is always sure of the uniformity of the result. Therefore all the cups produced with a certain mold are the same without the possibility of differences as currently can happen with the sewing technique.

In the attached table a practical embodiment of the invention is presented by way of non-limiting example.

In the various figures of pl. 1 shows some forms of bras that can be made with the heat deformation technique of the cups and without central or transversal seam.

In table 2 and table 3 shows a bra with seamless cups, equipped with a lower lateral reinforcement (R) connected to the support strap (B). The upper edge of the cup is equipped with a carry-over and a reinforcement seam (table 2), or the upper edge of the cup is without reinforcement and seam and is shaped with flounces and / or decorations in general (table 3) .

This "free" edge can also be thermodormed to create decorative raised flounces.

These are the schematic modalities sufficient for the skilled person to realize the invention, consequently, in concrete application there may be variations without prejudice to the substance of the innovative concept.

Therefore, with reference to the preceding description and to the attached table, the following claims are expressed.

CLAIMS 1. Bra characterized by the fact that the cups are made with whole elements and where the cavity is obtained by heat deformation of the lace or fabric in general 2. Bra according to claim 1, characterized in that the upper edge of the cup is devoid of carry-over and stitching and where said edge is shaped like a flounce or other decorative motifs. 3. Bra as per claim 2, characterized in that said flounce on the edge of the cup is heat-formed. 4. Bra according to claims 1 or 2 or 3 characterized in that the cup is equipped with a lateral-lower reinforcement placed in continuity with the strap. 5. Bra as per the preceding claims, characterized by the fact that its production and its marketing are understood to be protected by the present patent for industrial invention, all as described and illustrated.
