The simple surface application of a perfumed substance has in fact a very limited effectiveness in time, as the perfume vanishes after a few weeks or even after a few days, to the point that often in the time interval between production and sale the sponges completely lost their fragrance.

To get a more prolonged effect, yes? then resorted to concentrated essences of perfume, sprayed on the net that make up the sponge.

The VA containing the essence is mixed with polyethylene in proportions ranging from 0.5 to 5% by weight, obtaining a net, to be used for the production of sponges, which releases the perfume into the environment slowly, over a period of a period of time whose duration easily reaches 10-12 months.

With this solution the risk of causing allergies or irritation to the user's skin is avoided, as the perfumed essence which? been inserted into the polyethylene before extrusion, it passes directly from the liquid state inside the material to the aeriform one when it is released, so the sponge made with this net spreads a light and lasting fragrance into the environment without the risk of causing irritation of any kind to the user.

Following the tests carried out, yes? then surprisingly discovered that the use of EVA which has absorbed the perfumed essence, as a vehicle to distribute this essence in the polyethylene, gives the sponge marked characteristics of softness, particularly appreciated in the case of a toiletry item such as a bath sponge.
