 Since an additive, used in the indicated proportions, can modify the mechanical characteristics of the final material obtained, it is preferable to choose the protective plastic so that after adding the additive, it retains mechanical properties satisfactory.

 This is why, according to a preferred embodiment, the plastic material of the cover is characterized by a resistance of between 30 Shore A and 65 Shore A, preferably 55 Shore A, so as to resist the knocks usually suffered by a telephone cover.

 Similarly, this addition of additive is chosen so as not to deteriorate the malleability of the final plastic material necessary to obtain an over-molding effect. In one embodiment, polyvinyl chloride having a density of the order of 1.2 to 1.25 is used.

Claims (8)

A method of manufacturing a protective cover for a mobile phone or the like, characterized in that a plastic material containing olfactory additives such as scents, perfumes or essences is used, the percentage of these additives by weight on weight being of the order of 1 to 1.5% and preferably 1.25%.  2. Method according to claim 1, characterized in that, for the plastic material, at least one of the following materials is chosen: polyethylene, polyurethane, polyolefin and polyvinyl chloride.  3. Method according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the plastic is a polyvinyl chloride with a density between 1.20 and 1.25.  4. Method according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the plastic material has a hardness between 30 Shore A and 65 Shore A.  5. Protective cover for mobile phone or the like, this cover being intended to be permanently installed on the mobile phone, characterized in that it comprises a plastic material containing olfactory additives such as scents, perfumes or essences, the percentage of these additives being of the order of 1 to 1.5% and preferably 1.25% by weight on weight.  6.
