Un ulteriore esempio di tentativo di risoluzione del problema tecnico si può osservare nel brevetto N. EP 1003396 dove gli inventori propongono la realizzazione di una confezione monouso, avente una struttura porta accendino collegabile o integrata ad un comune pacchetto di sigarette. In questo caso, però, lo scomparto destinato all'alloggio di un eventuale accendino è privo di una vera e propria base, pertanto lo stesso viene semplicemente poggiato su due lembi di carta, applicabili solo separatamente dalla struttura, che piegano verso l'interno in disaccordo con i lati corti, i quali piegano invece verso l'esterno. Questo provoca l’insorgenza di nuovi problemi tecnici dovuti alla difficile realizzazione e utilizzo. E' infatti impossibile produrre il pacchetto proposto partendo da un unico foglio (costringendo così a cambiare le attuali lìnee produttive), la presenza dì due lembi che fanno da fermo portano l'accendino ad occupare uno spazio maggiore in altezza rispetto al pacchetto, e infine, la discordanza di piegature dei due lati corti della struttura rischia, in fase di apertura, che queste si omologhino, seguendo la medesima direzione, dando luogo alla creazione di un buco nella struttura e alla conseguente caduta dell'accendino.
