Packet (1) for cigarettes and the like comprising a box-like body (20) defining a housing volume (20a) for said cigarettes (10); and characterized in that it comprises a divider (30) adapted to divide said housing volume (20a) into a number of compartments (31) substantially equal to the number of said cigarettes (10) present in said packet (1).

2. Package (1) according to claim 1, wherein the height of said compartments (31) is substantially non-uniform.

Package (1) according to claim 2, wherein said height of said compartments (31) is substantially comprised between 90% and 70% of the length of said cigarettes (10).

4. Package (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, in which said compartments (31) are made of fireproof material.

5. Package (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, in which said compartments (31) have a square section.

6. Package (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, in which said compartments (31) have a hexagonal section.

Package (1) according to one or more of the preceding claims, wherein said divider (30) comprises a cap (32) adapted to prevent the escape of butts (11) from said compartments (31).

Package (1) according to the preceding claim, wherein said cap (32) comprises wings (32a) movable with respect to said compartments (31) so as to define a closed condition in which said wings (32a) prevent the escape of said stub (11) from said compartment (31); and a passage condition in which said wings (32a) allow the arrangement of said stub (11) in said compartment (31).

Package (1) according to the preceding claim, in which said wings (32a) are hinged to the compartment (31) so as to define bending springs.

Package (1) according to the preceding claim, in which said wings (32a) identify preloaded bending springs.
