DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a tubular skylight. Tubular skylights or, according to the CIE definition, CIE TC-3/38 report No. 173: 2006, tubular natural light guides, are designed to bring natural light into environments whose location in the building in they are found makes their natural lighting difficult or impossible by using traditional skylights and / or windows.
Tubular skylights are already known per se and generally comprise a tubular body with a reflective and diffusive internal surface. The tubular skylight is provided with a first end of the tubular body, intended to be placed outside the building, with a light collector or sensor consisting of a transparent dome. The tubular skylight is provided with a second end of the tubular body, intended to be placed inside the room to be illuminated, with a diffuser comprising a panel in translucent material.
Such a tubular skylight is known for example from document EP 1 306 606, in the name of the same applicant. All known tubular skylights are made up of multiple and different parts (for example a plurality of consecutively arranged tubular sections) which are assembled to allow the luminous connection between the sensor, placed outside the building where it receives the natural light, and the dark interior space which is located in a more or less remote position, even if not directly in communication with the outside, where the light captured is transferred to illuminate it. The Applicant has verified that the presence of said multiplicity of parts entails the presence of discontinuity of the structure and the consequent lack of airtightness. The air from the internal environment can therefore enter the duct and flow, due to the chimney effect, towards the capturing dome. At the end of the path, the warm and humid air of the interior (which is normally also less dense) comes into contact with the internal wall of the capturing dome, which is almost always at a lower temperature, generating condensation. The Applicant has also verified that the light diffuser in the internal environment is designed as a removable part (both to allow the final assembly of the system during the installation phase and the execution of inspection and maintenance operations, etc.) and for this reason it is the portion of the skylight that generally offers the least airtightness, precisely in the part most exposed to hot and humid air.
Furthermore, the capturing dome of known tubular skylights normally has a wall of reduced thickness (without insulating cavity) and therefore with a strong capacity for thermal transmission towards the outside.
In this context, the technical task underlying the present invention is to propose a tubular skylight which overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks of the known art.
In particular, it is the main object of the present invention to provide a tubular skylight which eliminates or at least drastically reduces the formation of condensation inside.
It is also an object of the present invention to propose a tubular skylight which allows to reduce the quantity of thermal energy dispersed towards the outside.
The specified technical task and the specified purposes are substantially achieved by a tubular skylight comprising the technical characteristics set out in one or more of the appended claims.
In particular, the specified technical task and the specified purposes are achieved by a tubular skylight equipped with a transparent tray placed between the capturing dome and the internal diffuser, which advantageously plays the role of anti-condensation device by inhibiting the ambient air inside the building, which stops on the wall of the anti-condensation tray, the possibility of reaching the internal surface of the dome. In stationary thermal conditions this surface will have a higher temperature than the dome surface, reducing or eliminating the risk of condensation altogether. In the aforementioned conditions, by reducing the difference in temperature la between the internal and external environment, the quantity of thermal energy dispersed towards the outside will also be reduced proportionally.
Ulteriori caratteristiche e vantaggi della presente invenzione appariranno maggiormente chiari dalla descrizione indicativa, e pertanto non limitativa, di una forma di attuazione preferita ma non esclusiva di un lucernario tubolare, come illustrata negli uniti disegni in cui: Further characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become clearer from the indicative, and therefore non-limiting, description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment of a tubular skylight, as illustrated in the accompanying drawings in which:

- la figura 3 Ã ̈ un ingrandimento di una seconda porzione del lucernario di figura 1; - figure 3 is an enlargement of a second portion of the skylight of figure 1;
Figure 3a illustrates a part of the second portion of Figure 3 according to a variant embodiment. With reference to the attached figures, the reference number 1 generally indicates a tubular skylight made in accordance with the present invention.
The tubular skylight 1 comprises a tubular body 2, preferably with a circular section, which has its own internal reflecting surface 3, so as to bring the light from its first end to its second end. The tubular body 2 can have a straight axis or a more complex shape, so as to adapt to the size and structure of the building on which it is installed. For example, the tubular body 2 extends from the roof of the building, through the attic, to a room to be illuminated, with a straight path or deviating to circumvent any obstacles.
A light collector 4 is installed on the first end of the tubular body 2, intended to be positioned outside (for example on the roof or on a wall) of the building in which skylight 1 is mounted. of light 4 comprises a transparent capturing dome 5, including an optional optical device 6 for re-directing the light rays inside the duct delimited by the tubular body 2.
In the illustrated embodiment, the optical device 6 has a frusto-conical shape with a circular base.
On the second end of the tubular body 2, intended to be positioned inside the room to be illuminated (for example on the ceiling or on a wall), a â € œDâ € diffuser is mounted, consisting of a transparent screen with details optical properties, which intercepts the light carried by the tubular body 2 and diffuses it into the environment to be illuminated.
A transparent anti-condensation tray 7 is positioned between the capturing dome 5 and the first end of the tubular body 2, which comprises a bottom wall 8, a side wall 9 and, preferably, an edge 10 which protrudes radially from the side wall 9.
The shape and dimensions of the transparent anti-condensation tray 7 are such as to allow it to be inserted airtight into the first end of the tubular body 2. Once assembled (figure 2), the side wall 9 rests against the internal surface 3 of the tubular body 2 and the edge 10 abuts against an edge of the first end and against a pre-assembly ring 11 mounted, with the interposition of an annular gasket 13, around said first end. The transparent collecting dome 5 has a lower appendage 14 that surrounds the pre-assembly ring 11.
On the bottom wall 8 there is an annular seat 15 within which a lower edge of the optical device 6 with a truncated cone shape takes place. In the illustrated embodiment, the annular seat 15 is obtained by molding directly in the bottom wall 8.
The tubular body 2 illustrated is made up of a first portion 2â € ™ which carries the diffuser â € œDâ € and of a second portion 2â € ™ â € ™ which carries the capturing dome 5, the optical device 6 and the transparent anti-condensation tray 7 described above. The first 2â € ™ and the second 2â € ™ â € ™ portions are coaxial and axially approached one another in order to define the entire axial development of the tubular body 2. In accordance with construction variants not illustrated, the body tubular 2 can be formed by a plurality of tubular portions, or by the aforementioned first portion 2â € ™ carrying the diffuser â € œDâ € and second portion 2â € ™ â € ™ carrying the capturing dome 5 and by one or more tubular extensions interposed between these.
On the upper end of the first portion 2â € ™ there is a truncated-conical connection portion 16 which converges towards the transparent capturing dome 5. The upper end of the first portion 2â € ™ is inserted in the truncated portion conical connection 16 and, preferably, an annular gasket 17 is radially interposed between said upper end of the first portion 2â € ™ and said frusto-conical connection portion 16 (Figure 3).
An additional 7â € ™ transparent anti-condensation tray is mounted on the truncated-conical connection portion 16. In particular, the concavity delimited by the additional 7â € ™ transparent anti-condensation tray faces towards the first portion 2â € ™ and the back wall 8 it rests against an upper edge of the truncated-conical connection portion 16. The additional transparent anti-condensation tray 7 'is in turn inserted in the second portion 2' (figures 1 and 3). The additional transparent anti-condensation tray 7â € ™ is identical to the tray 7 placed between the collecting dome 5 and the first end of the tubular body 2. The side wall 9 rests airtight against the internal surface 3 of the second portion 2â € ™ â € ™ of the tubular body 2 and the edge 10 abuts against a lower edge.
In an alternative embodiment illustrated in Figure 3a, the frusto-conical connecting portion 16 is absent. The upper end of the first portion 2â € ™ is inserted directly into the concavity delimited by the additional transparent anti-condensation tray 7â € ™ and an annular gasket 18 is radially interposed between said upper end of the first portion 2â € ™ and the side wall 9 of the additional transparent anti-condensation tray 7â € ™.
The assembly consisting of the possible truncated cone connection portion 16 and the additional transparent anti-condensation tray 7 'can advantageously constitute an anti-condensation kit to be easily installed in a tubular skylight 1 already mounted on the building that is or is not already provided of the transparent anti-condensation tray 7 located at the second end of the tubular body 2. In this situation, it is sufficient to remove only the diffuser â € œDâ €, slide the connected first tubular portion 2 downwards and apply the anti-condensation tray 7â € Cap and any truncated conical connection portion 16 to then telescopically insert the whole in the second tubular portion 2â € ™ â € ™ and fasten the diffuser â € œDâ € again.
The materials useful for making the anti-condensation trays 7, 7â € ™ are the various types of thermoplastic resins available and also hot-melt in their ordinary and specific formulations, for example: polycarbonates, polyesters, etc. Preferably, these specific formulations are formulated with reaction to favorable fire, such as having non-flaming hot melt drip. Moreover, these resins are preferably additivated with master-batches, known per se, suitable for enhancing the absorbing capacity of UVA radiation.
The present invention achieves the proposed aims and achieves important advantages.
The tubular skylight according to the present invention allows first of all, as already stated, to avoid the formation of condensation on the dome 5 and to reduce the quantity of thermal energy dispersed towards the outside. Furthermore, generally, in the skylights of the known type, the upper part of the light transmission duct is subjected to a more intense impact action of the UVA radiation which, overcoming the barrier represented by the dome 5, reaches the most superficial and higher layers of the duct. where it can be absorbed becoming the cause of any damage to the optical properties of the same. The layer of plastic material constituting the tray 7, 7 'according to the invention is also advantageously able to neutralize the altering effect of the surviving UVA radiation and to enhance the protection of the surface layers of the duct from the aforementioned harmful effects.
The adoption of the materials indicated for the realization of the tray (s) 7, 7â € ™ has the further advantage of giving the systems that are equipped with one or more of the aforementioned anti-condensation trays 7, 7â € ™ significant improvements reducing the risk of rapid spread of fire in case of fire.
The tray also allows to support (integrating them or simply placing them) lenses and other devices for redirecting the light radiation without having to study additional anchoring systems of the same to the skylight.
In tubular skylights already in place, the above advantages can be obtained without the complete disassembly of the installed system, according to the installation procedure described above.
