“DISPOSITIVO PER LA CAPTAZIONE DEL BANDOLO DURANTE LA PREPARAZIONE DELLE SPOLE DA ALIMENTARE ALLA ROCCATURA AUTOMATICA†⠀ œDevice for the collection of the band during the preparation of the spools to be fed to the automatic windingâ €
The present invention refers to a device for preparing the bobbins to be fed to the automatic winding.
In industrial practice the yarn production technique is largely prevalent in a first spinning stage - typically ring spinning that produces spool yarn - followed by a second winding stage in which the yarn is unwound from its spool, purified of its defects and rewound in a cone, which contains a much greater quantity of yarn and which corresponds to a considerable number of processed cops. The winding process is much faster than spinning and therefore a small quantity of winding units or stations, in the order of magnitude of the tens, is able to dispose of the production of a large number of spinning units, in the order of magnitude of thousands.
The transfer between the two processes, of the spools full of yarn to the winding machine and their exhausted tubes to the spinning machine, can take place "in bulk" or by means of wheeled boxes, or - in the so-called "thread-winding machines" - by directly and individually transferring the spools to the winding. Generally, the spools coming from the spinning machine have the end part of their thread wound around the package of the spool or at the base of its tube for a given number of turns.
Before being fed to one of the winding stations that make up the automatic winding machine, the bobbin to be unwound must be prepared, with a process that takes place in several phases. The end part of the yarn on the spool must be freed from the base of the cop, or from the spool body, and unwound from the outer surface of the spool for a certain length. The yarn is then cut to size and threaded into the upper end of its tube, from which the winding station - at the beginning of the unwinding of the new fed bobbin - can pick it up, join it with the end available on the package and start winding again. This preparation is required both for the new bobbins coming from the spinning machine and for the not completely unwound bobbins which - in the automatic winder - are generally recovered and recycled to exhaust the residual yarn still wound on them.
In general, the bobbin preparation device is placed on board the automatic winder and the preparation cycle is governed by its own dedicated control unit, which receives the signals from the sensors present in the various parts that make up the device and sends the commands to carry out the various operations of the cycle in succession.
This operation of preparing the spool before feeding it to the winding stations is generally carried out by holding the spool in an upright position during transport and its preparation, as for example in patents EP 463.695 and EP 1.932.793 A1 in the name of the same applicant.
The expedient of keeping the spool in an upright position both during transport and in the preparation and unwinding operations, thus transferring and working the spools practically without touching them, prevents the spools from getting dirty or deteriorating due to contact with the parts of the machine. In the more recent conception automatic winding machines the technique of handling the cops and tubes is largely prevalent, using plate supports to be placed on conveyor belts or similar service movement members of the machine to individually bring said cops and tubes in the movements between the spinning machine and winder.
As already illustrated in the previous patent application EP 1,932,793 A1 in the name of the same applicant, the first phase of the spool preparation operation consists in capturing the end of the thread wound on it, which in its essential lines is here described below with reference to figure 1.
In the working position the spool 1 to be prepared is held upright on its plate 2 and centered in a vertical position with a tailstock 3 approached to the top of the spool itself.
A motorized roller 5, which serves to rotate the spool being prepared, is approached to the base of the plate 2 which carries the spool 1, holding it in grip and centered with centering members, such as for example a back-up roller 6.
In the work station, next to the spool 1 being prepared, there is a fixed suction nozzle 10 which, in its generator closest to the spool 1, is equipped with a slot 11 which extends from its base to its curved top 12 which joins it with the connection duct 13 to the centralized suction; at the beginning of said duct 13 a gate 14 is inserted to choke the flow. According to a preferential embodiment of the nozzle 10, its vertical section, to which the spool 1 to be prepared is approached, is made with a concave cross section, as in the enlarged detail of figure 1A in which the part of the nozzle shown can be seen to the spool and containing the slot 11, which has an enveloping section with respect to the spool and which invites the end of the spool to enter the opening 10.
To capture the end, the nozzle 10 is fed with the maximum suction depression from the duct 13, with the gate 14 open to the maximum suction flow rate. In general, the vacuum values required for taking the end are between 3500 and 5000 Pascal. The motorized roller 5 is activated by making the spool 1 rotate for a given number of revolutions in the direction of unwinding of the reserve of thread placed around the spool or its base. As a result of the strong suction exerted inside the mouth 10, the slot 11 has a notable suction effect towards the end of the thread of the spool being processed and draws it from the spool itself into the mouth 10.
In general, the efficiency of the suction is decisive for the successful capture of the end; however, the search and capture operation of the end by suction is often assisted by tools that facilitate its detachment from the spool, such as brush elements or claw elements, which can be approached to the spool generator and made to slide vertically to intercept the coils of thread and detach them, while the spool 1 is made to rotate in one or the other direction of rotation.
During this processing phase, the strong suction inside the nozzle 10 does not allow the sucked wire to come out from the slot 11 of the curved section 12 of the nozzle 10. Inside the final part of the nozzle 10 there is a sensor which it signals the presence of the aspirated wire inside it and that the end has been captured. When the wire is captured and detected, the opening in the gate 14 narrows, maintaining a "partialized" flow at low flow and low depression and the rotation of the spool 1 is stopped.
As a result of this low-vacuum suction, the wire 18 is still under tension and can come out of the slot 11 of the curved section 12 of the nozzle 10 - as shown in figure 1 - and enter the opening of a gripping member 19, from which the subsequent preparation phase will begin by means of fixing the prepared end on the tube. In general, the low vacuum values sufficient to let the wire come out of the slot 11 and to achieve its controlled release - that is to say the delivery of the still stretched wire 18 to the gripping member 19 - are in the range of 200-500 Pascal.
Inside the gripping member 19 there is a thread sensor, which signals the successful delivery of the thread 18 to the control unit of the spool preparation device. the shuttle can, for example, be conducted as illustrated in the aforementioned patent application EP 1,932,793 A1 in the name of the same applicant.
If, on the other hand, the end sensor placed inside the final part of the nozzle 10 does not signal the presence of the wire at the end of the first phase of collection, this phase of collection can be repeated - upon command of the control of the preparatory device - for a certain number of times, preferably by progressively modulating the end-taking procedure. If this reiteration is unsuccessful, the spool is discarded and / or manually prepared separately by the operators.
In any case, the repetition of the end uptake phase constitutes a significant waste of time and productivity of the end preparation unit, so much so that more winding units are installed in the winder models consisting of a large number of winding units. preparation of the bobbins arranged in parallel, thus ensuring the feeding of the winding units with the required bobbins.
In general, the required frequency of processing the spools in the preparation device corresponds to an overall processing time for each spool not exceeding 3-5 seconds.
There is therefore the need to ensure maximum efficiency of the initial search, detachment and capture of the end, so as to obtain the end at the first attempt. Generally, the greatest difficulties in detaching and capturing the yarn derive from very hairy or very twisted yarns, and the modulation of the procedure concerns both the rotation modalities of the spool 1, both the methods of approaching the tools assisting the detachment of the yarn and the modality suction.
In the known technique, according to the diagram illustrated with reference to Figure 1, the suction is derived from a collective suction manifold that equips the winder to which the duct 13 is connected, modulating the depression induced in the opening 10 with the gate 14 The derivation of the suction from a common service does not allow a high efficiency of collection, as the value of the suction depression available with the opening of the gate 14 cannot be increased; on the contrary, it is negatively influenced when other members of the winder simultaneously request the suction service, causing a decrease in this depression value. There is also the drawback that the common collective intake manifold has a volume that is not negligible and has a significant inertia with respect to the variations in depression required by the individual users to which it is connected.
The present invention is directed to the preparation of the spool, in which the procedure for capturing and withdrawing the end from the spool is carried out with autonomous modulation of the suction exerted on the spool in operation.
The invention is described here with reference to a typical embodiment thereof on board an automatic winder.
The present invention, in its more general meaning as a spool preparation device, is defined in the first claim. Preferred variants or embodiments are defined in claims 2 to 9.
The characteristics and advantages of the device and of the process for preparing spools according to the present invention are more evident from the description of a typical embodiment thereof, exemplifying but not limiting, illustrated in Figure 2. Figure 1, on the other hand, refers to the prior art and It explains the technical problem
In the exemplary embodiment shown in Figure 2, the same components as in Figure 1 are found with the relative numerical references, apart from the suction device in which the suction is derived from a collective suction manifold that equips the winder. The suction device now consists of an individual suction device 20 which individually equips the package preparation device according to the present invention. For the sake of clarity of drawing, the components of the suction device 20 according to the invention are shown with a larger size than the preparation device.
As already explained, the operation of the preparation device is governed by a control unit - not shown in the figure for simplicity - dedicated to it which receives the signals from the sensors present in the various parts that make up the package preparation device, processes and sends the commands to carry out the various operations of the cycle in succession.
In the technical solution shown in Figure 2, an individual suction unit 20 is provided to serve the spool preparation device. This suction unit consists of a rotary aspirator 21 with an impeller 22 driven by an electric motor 23 controlled to operate with speeds which vary from time to time according to the aspiration needs. According to the embodiment of the invention illustrated by way of example in Figures 2 and 3, this rotary aspirator is a centrifugal aspirator. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the motor 23 is a â € œbrushlessâ € electric motor driven in frequency by the control unit of the winding unit. This technical solution allows to vary the value of the high depression, which is necessary for detaching and gripping the thread 18 from the spool 1.
Ultimately, the device is equipped with variable speed control means from the control unit of the preparation device alternately to generate - with the aspirator 20 - at first a high vacuum value for capturing the end of the thread 18 inside the end gripping member and, in this exemplary and non-limiting case referring to the device illustrated in the aforementioned patent application EP 1.932.793 A1, inside the fixed nozzle 10 and then a low vacuum value to cause its release from the slot 11 for its subsequent manipulation, in this case by way of example and not of limitation referred to the device illustrated in the aforementioned patent application EP 1.932.793 A1, starting from the gripping member 19. The control unit is connected with the yarn presence sensors and operates on the basis of the signals received by said sensors. In particular, the control unit commands - for each new spool that arrives at the station - a period of high depression suction until the sensor inside the nozzle 10 signals the presence of the thread; following this signal, the control unit switches the command to the motor 23 to operate at low speed with low vacuum suction, until the sensor inside the gripper 19 signals the presence of the wire . After a short time, the operation is repeated when a further shuttle arrives at the station.
On the duct 13 for connection to the rotary aspirator 21 there is a mesh filter 25 which has the essential function of retaining the excess wire sections, brought by the suction to enter the duct 13 and eliminated by the gripping element 19 , at the beginning of the next phase of the bobbin preparation.
The filter 25 consists of a container interposed along the duct 13, in which a net 26 is placed for retaining the sucked material and in particular of the excess lengths of thread sucked by the nozzle 10. The material accumulated in the filter 25 is periodically discharged by pneumatic transport , opening the connection ducts 30,31 to the outside, by activating the respective gate valves 32,33. Alternatively, the filter 25 can be emptied by injecting compressed air from the duct 30, or by exerting suction from the duct 31.
According to an improved embodiment of the present invention, a pressure drop meter 35 is installed across the filter 25, currently referred to as â € œâˆ † P meterâ €, which is shown in Figure 2. The measurement and knowledge of the degree of saturation or clogging of the mesh 26 of the filter 25 makes it possible to clean the filter no longer at a predetermined time, but only when the filter reaches a certain pressure drop value. This knowledge also makes it possible to compensate for this loss of pressure by graduating the suction for the grip of the wire.
The operation of the individual suction unit 20 dedicated to the device for preparing the bobbins for winding according to the present invention is illustrated with reference to Figures 3A-C. They are examples of the trends of the suction depressions, the flow rates and the powers required by an individual centrifugal aspirator at the service of the spool preparation device for the high and low depression levels. Figure 3A shows, for a centrifugal fan such as the aspirator 21, the characteristic trend of the suction depression ∠† P in Pascal as a function of the flow rate in mc / h, parameterized on different values of rotation speed. Figure 3B shows the characteristic trend of the absorbed power for the said centrifugal fan, again as a function of the flow rate in mc / h, parameterized on different values of rotation speed. Figure 3Bbis shows this trend on an enlarged scale for low vacuum values. Figures 3C and 3Cbis show instead â € “by way of example - the characteristic trend of the depression ∠† P required by the preparation unit when the suction of the end inside the nozzle 10 and the its exit of the yarn 18 from the slot 11 with a straight course to enter the gripping member 19. Figure 3Cbis shows the enlarged detail of the trend for the low vacuum values.
The characteristic trend of figures 3C is a function of the geometry of the system and is combined with the characteristic curves of the aspirator 20 according to figures 3A and 3B. On the basis of the dotted characteristic curve of the wire end gripping system consisting of the nozzle 10 shown in figures 3C and 3Cbis, during the uptake of the wire inside the slot 11, from figure 3C it can be deduced that the rotation speed can vary between 7000 and 10000 rpm to give the high depression values of 3000-5000 Pascal. From figure 3B it can be deduced that during the high-speed operating time to take the thread from the spool - with the said intervals of high depression and high speed of rotation - the motor 23 absorbs from 0.7 to 2kW. For the subsequent release of the wire, from figure 3Cbis, it can be seen that the low depression values, sufficient to let the wire come out of the slot 11 and deliver it still taut to the gripping member 19, are in the range of 200-500 Pascal and correspond to 1500-2500 rpm. From figure 3Bbis it can be deduced that during the low speed operating time - with the said intervals of low depression and low rotation speed - the motor 23 absorbs a negligible power.
Ultimately, the motor 23 is required to perform a pulsating speed trend with a period of a few seconds, in which the motor rotates alternately to give high and low speed of rotation to the impeller 22, which in turn generates the high and low depression. which first cause the uptake of the end of the thread 18 from the spool 1 inside the mouth 10 and then the release of the thread 18 from its slot 11 for its manipulation starting from the gripping member 19. In consideration of the fact that the preparation of the spools works substantially continuously and with pulsating speed, a preferential embodiment of the present invention provides for the use of a â € œbruhlessâ € motor equipped with cooling to control its operating temperature.
On the basis of the signals obtained from the sensors for the presence of the yarn inside the nozzle 10 and the gripping member 19, the control unit of the bobbin preparation device is able to regulate the suction times and depressions at the strictly necessary to ensure that the end of the spool is captured.
Compared to the spool preparation systems available in the known art, the end-gripping device for the spool preparation according to the present invention offers considerable advantages and among them at least the following deserve a brief mention.
Compared to the technical solutions currently in use which use, for the preparation of the bobbins, a centralized suction service on board the winder, the suction values exercised by the individual aspirator 20 can be modulated according to the contingent need of the single bobbin, in function of the signals obtained from the sensors. For example, the detachment and the gripping of the end can be achieved by exerting an increasing suction depression, according to a predetermined `` ramp '' of rotation speed of the aspirator 21, starting from a certain initial value of rotation speed of the motor 23 and increasing it according to a predetermined acceleration up to the maximum allowed value, until the sensor inside the nozzle signals the presence of the wire. This way of proceeding practically eliminates the need to repeat the catching of the end.
Again for example, the initial value of the speed â € œrampâ € can be periodically set on the basis of the statistics of the speed values at which the end points took place in a fairly previous period.
With the device according to the present invention, the values of the available suction depression are adjustable according to the needs and there is no influence on the part of other members of the winder. The direct connection of the aspirator 20 to the preparation device without common manifolds eliminates the inherent inertia of the system and reduces the energy consumption for the aspiration services.
