Descrizione dell’invenzione industriale dal titolo: Description of the industrial invention entitled:
"Metodo di fabbricazione di un gioiello.” "Method of manufacturing a jewel."
CAMPO DELL’INVENZIONE FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method of producing a jewel, in particular the production of a jewel with grooves, for example incisions or milling, more preferably such grooves having a different color or appearance from the rest of the surface in which they are made.
TECNICA ANTERIORE FRONT TECHNIQUE
In the field of jewelry production, the technique of making grooves, for example by engraving, milling, laser engraving or other known methods, is known on one or more surfaces of a metal element, generally an element of a precious metal, to create designs or decorations. If the surface of the element has undergone a treatment (for example electrodeposition of another metal, burnishing or other treatment of a known type), the grooves may have a color, or in any case a different aspect from the rest of the surface, which makes them stand out and gives them a particular aspect to the jewel.
Commonly such grooves are made on the smooth surface after the surface treatment. For example, in the industrial production of jewels such grooves can be made by means of engraving machinery, for example laser, or even of another type, according to a predefined and programmed pattern. In the field of artisanal production, or in which at least part of the operations take place according to artisanal methods, the grooves can be made manually, for example by milling, to a depth such as to reach the metal below the surface layer obtained with the treatment. However, errors are possible, which, being a process on the almost finished product, entail high losses in terms of costs and time. Furthermore, the depth of the groove, and the removal of the surface layer may present irregularities, making the final result not entirely satisfactory.
SOMMARIO SUMMARY
I problemi sopra individuati sono stati risolti secondo la presente invenzione da un metodo per la produzione di un gioiello comprendente, nell’ordine le seguenti fasi: The problems identified above have been solved according to the present invention by a method for the production of a jewel comprising, in order, the following steps:
realizzazione di un oggetto di materiale opportuno avente una superficie ed almeno un incavo in detta superficie; making an object of suitable material having a surface and at least one recess in said surface;
trattamento superficiale di detto metallo con creazione su detta superficie di uno sfratò avente aspetto diverso dal metallo originale; surface treatment of said metal with the creation on said surface of an evacuation having a different appearance from the original metal;
asportazione di detto strato in corrispondenza di detto incavo. removal of said layer in correspondence of said recess.
Detto materiale è preferibilmente un materiale metallico, preferibilmente un metallo prezioso. Said material is preferably a metallic material, preferably a precious metal.
The surface treatment can include the deposition of another material, preferably another metal, but it can be another treatment adapted to change the appearance of the surface, preferably the color such as, for example, the bluing with suitable reagents or the oxidation to flame.
The invention also relates to a jewel that can be obtained using the method described above.
È particolare oggetto dell’invenzione quanto contenuto nelle rivendicazioni allegate. The particular subject of the invention is what is contained in the attached claims.

The present invention will now be illustrated by the detailed description of | preferred but not exclusive embodiments, provided purely by way of example, with the aid of the attached figure 1 which represents a diagram representing the various stages of processing in a method according to the present invention.
With reference to Figure 1, the various processing steps of a method according to the present invention are indicated. The first step concerns the production of an object 1 of suitable material, having a surface 2 in which there are recesses, for example the grooves 3 and / or the circular recesses 4 according to a desired design, and having a suitable depth. These grooves or hollows can constitute an ornament of the jewel, or can also be intended (bezels) to accommodate other elements such as gems or other, to be fixed according to known techniques, such as, in the case shown in the figure, the hollows 4. Object 2 it can be made with the desired shape and material, by casting or other known technique, and the recesses can be made on it, with a known technique, for example engraving or milling. According to a preferred aspect of the invention, the object, including the recesses, is made directly by casting, in a known way. This allows the creation of a series of identical jewels, even maintaining an artisanal type of workmanship. According to a possible embodiment, a first model of the object is made, in a suitable material, which can be a workable metal, such as silver, gold or other types of material, and the grooves are made on it. known way. From this first model a first cast is obtained, in a suitable material, for example silicone rubber: this allows the creation of second models, for example of wax, around which a definitive cast is made, always in suitable material such as plaster or other , in which the desired object is fused with the so-called “lost wax” technique. In this way the object will be equipped with the desired recesses, and a series of identical objects can be created starting from the first model and / or the first cast. The technique described up to now is known, except for the realization of the recesses, and does not require further description. Other techniques or variants for the realization of the object may still be adopted.
Oppure il trattamento può essere di altro tipo, per esempio brunitura con acidi, trattamento particolarmente adatto per l’argento, oppure l'ossidazione a fiamma, trattamento particolarmente adatto per il titanio. the object 2 is subjected to surface treatment, which will also affect the exposed surface of the recesses 3 or 4. as mentioned, the surface treatment can be the deposition of a second metal on the first. By way of example, the first metal can be white gold, yellow gold, red gold, green gold, platinum. The second metal can be white or black rhodium or yellow gold, red gold, green gold, platinum. Generally, a second metal that is different in color or appearance from the first will be chosen in order to create a satisfactory contrast from an aesthetic point of view. An example of treatment is black rhodium on gold. Or the treatment can be of another type, for example burnishing with acids, a treatment particularly suitable for silver, or flame oxidation, a treatment particularly suitable for titanium.
The treated object 5 is thus obtained, in which the surface will have all the same color, unless masking has been applied, if desired to have untreated portions.
The surface layer is then removed in correspondence with the recesses to obtain the jewel 6. This removal can take place with known means, for example incision or milling. According to a preferred aspect it takes place by milling. In particular, if the creation of the recesses on the object, or on the first model was made by milling, the removal can be done using the same system, with similar tools or with the same tools, if deemed appropriate.
The method according to the present invention confers greater clarity and precision to the designs or decorations made with the recesses and considerably reduces the possibility of error in the case of handcrafted jewelery production.
It is clear that even partial removal will be possible, if you want part of the grooves to remain of the color given by the surface treatment; for example, depending on the stone to be introduced, it can be decided whether any bezels must have the color of the base metal or the color due to the surface treatment, or even the degree of removal of the surface layer can be different, to obtain different types of effect.
