Description
"PERFEZIONAMENTO NELLE CENTRALI ASPIRANTI DEGLI IMPIANTI ASPIRAPOLVERE CENTRALIZZATI". "IMPROVEMENT IN THE CENTRAL VACUUM UNITS OF CENTRALIZED VACUUM CLEANERS".
DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
The centralized vacuum cleaner systems allow to have a plurality of suction sockets suitably distributed in different points of a house or other building and connected, by means of a network of pipes generally in plastic and under the track, to a single central suction unit where the air aspirated, both for the cyclonic rotary movement and for the presence of a filter, it is separated from the dust and then conveyed to the outlet through a special exhaust duct.
The aforementioned central vacuum units are currently installed in service rooms such as cellars and garages, or even in sheltered areas of terraces and balconies, since 'excessive noise' remains a negative characteristic of these appliances even when the engine compartment is covered with layers of sound-insulating and sound-absorbing material. In fact, the soundproofing needs do not reconcile with those of an effective cooling of the suction unit as this must allow, if necessary, even prolonged and uninterrupted uses.
At this point it is necessary to specify that, in the aforementioned power plants, the suction unit, located in a compartment separate from that of filtering and collecting the dust, activates a fan at the top to cool the engine with air that is taken and reintroduced into the environment.
It is therefore obvious that the necessary presence of grilles or other ventilation openings, through which to obtain the air exchange, thwarts attempts to soundproof the engine compartment in the way already described.
But the noise is not the only drawback found in current central vacuum units as the cooling with air taken from the surrounding environment, precisely due to the necessary location of these units in service rooms or even outside the building, exposes the motorized unit at excessive levels of humidity and moreover the same ventilation grids are at the expense of safety, making it possible to access, with a wire or glove, the electrical parts of the engine compartment.
The improvement conceived, in addition to making it possible to obviate all the aforementioned drawbacks, also offers other considerable advantages such as the significant containment of production costs thanks to the fact that the proposed suction unit, equipped with a "through-flow" motor, has a cost almost halved compared to a group with a bypass motor, that is of the type currently used in all known central vacuum units.
Unlike suction units with bypass motor, those with "through-flow" motor, in addition to being less noisy than the first ones, are cooled by the same air sucked through the dust separation filter and do not have an obligatory air outlet direction. Up to now, similar suction units (those with "through-flow" motor) have been used only in small portable vacuum cleaners which, notoriously, reintroduce the air with the micro-dust not retained by filtering into the environment.
To better describe the refinement devised, a drawing table has been attached where, for indicative and non-limiting purposes only, the following are represented:
- la FIG. 1, che mostra uno spaccato assonometrico della centrale aspirante perfezionata; - FIG. 1, which shows an axonometric section of the improved central vacuum unit;
- FIGS. 2 and 3 which show, partially and schematically, the vertical and horizontal section of a central unit equipped with three suction units with "through-flow" motor.
Nello stesso pannello 16 trovansi le aperture attraverso le quali collegare alla rete di condotti sotto traccia il bocchettone di aspirazione 12 e quello di espulsione 13, rispettivamente comunicanti con il vano di filtraggio delle polveri A e con il vano motore B. Observing FIG. 1 it can be noted that the improved central vacuum unit, similarly to other known embodiments, externally has an almost cylindrical casing, formed by the union of the containers 1 and 2 by means of two pairs of particular handles 4 and 5 whose mutual coupling fast causes the tightening of the seal 3 between the two containers. Again in the same way as other known solutions, two horizontal handles 15 and 14 protrude from the upper container 1 at the rear, the first one intended to hook the folded upper edge of the anchoring panel 16 previously fixed to the wall, the second (14) to be interposed between the ears of the aforementioned panel and fixed here by means of nuts and bolts. In the same panel 16 there are the openings through which to connect the suction nozzle 12 and the expulsion union 13 to the network of underground ducts, respectively communicating with the dust filtering compartment A and with the engine compartment B.
The separation of the aforementioned compartments A and B is obtained by stopping, with screw means and against the flange 6 already fixed stably inside the container 1, a support flange 7 carrying the suction unit 8 and the underlying cylindrical filter 9 moving. , centrally, towards the frusto-conical element 10 under which the collection bag 11 is located.
With the depression created in compartment A by the operation of the suction unit 8, the suction air enters it tangentially from the union 12 and carries out, around the filter 9, a cyclonic rotary movement thanks to which the powders are separated, moving towards the and falling, through the frusto-conical element 10, into the underlying collection bag 11.
The air, already separated from the dust thanks to the cyclonic movement and the filter 9, cools the motor of the suction unit 8 and exits, from the top of this, inside the compartment B from which it then continues, through the union 13, along a special exhaust duct.
To understand the consistency of the advantages offered by the improvement conceived, just think that:
- la già' limitata rumorosità' del gruppo aspirante utilizzato e soprattutto la mancanza di griglie od altre aperture di areazione del vano motore B rendono superfluo qualsiasi accorgimento aggiuntivo d'insonorizzazione e consentono inoltre di scegliere, senza alcun condizionamento, la collocazione piu' opportuna della centrale non sussistendo piu' ne' il problema dell'inquinamento acustico e neppure quello della formazione di condense all'interno del vano motore essendo questo isolato dall 'ambiente circostante ; - the already 'limited noise' of the suction unit used and above all the lack of grids or other ventilation openings in the engine compartment B make any additional soundproofing devices superfluous and also allow you to choose, without any conditioning, the most appropriate location for the central as there is no longer the problem of noise pollution and not even that of condensation inside the engine compartment as it is isolated from the surrounding environment;
- a differenza degli aspirapolvere portatili, che utilizzano un analogo gruppo aspirante, l'espulsione dell'aria in un apposito condotto di scarico esclude la dispersione delle micropolveri nell'ambiente circostante alla centrale aspirante; - unlike portable vacuum cleaners, which use a similar suction unit, the expulsion of the air into a special exhaust duct excludes the dispersion of the micro-dust in the environment surrounding the central vacuum unit;
- since the electrical parts are inside the engine compartment, the absence of grids or other ventilation openings makes the aforementioned parts inaccessible from the outside, giving the improved control unit a degree of safety not found in known units.
In addition to all this, it must be considered that the suction unit proposed with the present invention does not provide for a forced exit direction of the air as instead exists in current suction units with cooling fan.
Therefore the expulsion union 13 can be positioned, compatibly with the installation needs of the control unit, in any point of the engine compartment B.
Furthermore, as exemplified in FIGS. 2 and 3, where the control unit has three suction units 8, it is not excluded that, to enhance the system, two or more suction units are housed inside the same engine compartment whose intervention can also be adjusted automatically, by a special electronic control unit, in relation to the needs of the moment.
From the aforementioned FIGS. 2 and 3 it is also clear that, in the power plants that use two or more suction units, in order to obtain the cyclonic rotary movement of the air reaching tangentially from the suction nozzle 12, the use of a single cylindrical filter 9 is envisaged. of adequate dimensions and applied against the bottom of a junction box 17 having the air inlet through an opening located in correspondence with the aforementioned filter and the outlet in many other openings, made in the opposite wall, for as many groups suction units 8 applied to the aforesaid box which also acts as a support for the assembly.
The air that comes out of all the suction units 8, cooling them, continues towards the single expulsion union 13 of the engine compartment.
It is therefore evident that to the advantages already mentioned above, another, no less important one is added, consisting in the fact that, thanks to the improvement in question, it is possible to create central vacuum units of different power while having a single unit. aspirator which, produced in large series and with obviously low costs, can be used, if necessary, also in battery.
It is obvious that, without prejudice to the general characteristics illustrated and described, the present invention may be susceptible of modifications and variations, however included in the present patent scope, such as that of applying a silencer of the type known and / or a device which, suitable for filtering micro-dust, allows the expulsion of clean air directly outside the unit.
